    Superstar mode catching

I may be missing something here. In Superstar mode, if I run a route manually and I get a pass thrown to me, if I don't hit the Y button to catch it, it will bounce off me. If I let my HB run the route automatically, he catches it with no problem.

Is there an auto-catch or catch helping switch? I know NCAA is a different game, but it is so much easier to catch in that game.

I tried going into Practice Mode to see if I could learn more, but I don't see how to control the receiver and not the QB.

    Any thoughts? Thanks.

NO... Once you move the controller, you take control away from the CPU. If you want the CPU to make the catch, you must leave the sticks alone after the ball is snapped.

Under "Game Modes" choose "Mini-Games" and run the WR/DB coverage drill. It will start you as the WR for the first portion, and the DB as the next portion. You can run anywhere you want before calling for the ball, but once it's in the air it's up to you to catch it (preferably in a bonus square). This will build your skills for running routes AND catching the ball when controlling the WR from beginning to end.

    Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks for the tip. Now I at least have someplace to go to practice.
