All Rodgers had to do was fill in for Favre. Look at his team. Rex Grossman could be doing the same with that squad.

Then look at the Saints with Drew Brees. They went from being basically nothing to Super Bowl champs in less than 5 years.

Let Rodgers step into the Superdome and see how he does.
I 100 percent agree. Finally, some other person who has sense around here.

Drew Brees came to a team who has had many UPS and DOWNS. Mainly downs. After Hurricane Katrina, the team was really having there head downs. You could be saying, how does that relate to the Saints? It effects them in many ways, There Surroundings, the stadium was all banged up and obviously the morale was low. Brees came from San Diego after suffering an injury and he was stronger than ever. He took them to becoming Superbowl champions. I am not saying that all the other Saints player are rubbish because they are quite clearly not but the Packers had an elite team before Rodgers came. Kyle Orton could fill in for them. It is not like Rodgers came to Green Bay and completed changed the team all together. Brees arrived and helped make the team an elite source.

Saints fans unite, I guess.

Saints had ups and downs, Packers had the rock n roll drama of Favre leaving.

If Rodgers had such an elite team when he started, why was their record 6-10 his first year as a starter?

Doesn't elite team always mean automatic playoffs?

Enough with the Brees is better than Rodgers or Rodgers is better than Brees crap.

They are both good QB's.

And that is all they are, subjective opinions and some biased opinions from team fans.

Re: Madden 12 Top 4 Quarterbacks (Review)

Rodgers is more important to his team than Bres is to the Saints.

You can't just go out and replace Drew Brees or Rodgers, but based on the teams around them and their offensive schemes, the Packers lean on Rodgers more than the Saints lean on Brees.

The Saints ask Brees to spread the ball and around and get it in the hands of their various play makers. It helps that Brees is one of the most accurate passers in the game.

The Packers realized near the end of last year that they really don't have much of a running game and that in order to put up points and win games, it really has to be "The Aaron Rodgers Laser Show." Like the Patriots and Manning's Colts, the Packers run a lot of Shotgun to spread the defense out and ask Rodgers to gut the opposing team's secondary. They really only run to keep the defense honest and allow the play action to work... much like the Patriots and Colts have been doing for years.

Both teams need their franchise QBs to win games, but if Green Bay lost Rodgers, their offense would change and hurt a lot more than if the Saints lost Brees.

What the Saints would really lose by losing Brees are those smart and accurate deep passes that take advantage of tight coverage that he throws at least 3 or 4 times a game. Those are the kind of game breaking passes that Brees doesn't get enough credit for in general.

What the Packers would lose is most of their offense. I think their backup QB is pretty talented and could start for other teams [but not be great,] but that is another topic. The Packers don't have run game to fall back on, or a Sproles/Bush/Jhavid Best/Danny Woodhead type of a weapon to dump the ball of to. Those kinds of weapons make the defense "cover the whole field" which no defense can. That is why 3rd and long or the red zone are difficult situations to be successful in. On 3rd and long, you don't have ot cover anything short. In the red zone, the field gets a lot smaller. You are not going to get beat over the top for 40+ yards on a blown assignment.
