Any news on attributes this year?

Has anyone heard or seen if there are any new attributes used to rate players this year? Or have any been removed?

Are those both editable attributes that you would assign a value in CAP for example?

i dont think so. production seems to be dynamic and size(if it is the same as head coach) is based on weight and height compared to the ideal for each position(6'4" qbs having a higher rating than 6' ones.

There's also the development rating and I think the physical rating is new.

The development trait is how much XP a player gets. So, if it is high, the more XP the player can get. But, they have to play to get it.

Still didnt hear about Predictability .

Ok, I just watched that video by Big and I think the production attribute could be the total game changer for overall and that one little wrinkle could now enable players with high physical attributes to be graded properly. I always hated having really athletic players that acted like idiots because the AWR was so low and some of the other position specific attributes were also low just to keep the overall in check. I'm liking what I'm seeing in that video.

Definitely. Static overalls are pretty much dead. A player can be an 80 for one team but only a 70 for another team simply based on scheme. There's new PHY (Physical), INT (Intangibles), DUR (Durability), SIZ (Size), and PRD (Production) ratings. Not sure how (or even if) the others play into the OVR but a GC had this to say about the production rating:

                  PRD - production

It's a huge player in rating this year. Say you have a guy with great skills that isn't producing at his position....

                  Madden 12: 90
                  Madden 13: 80

Now say you have a guy with good skills but no production.

                  Madden 12: 55
                  Madden 13: 55

Now let's say you have a low or mediocre skill guy with stellar production.

                  Madden 12: 55
                  Madden 13: 80
There's a ton of different variables that go into guys overall ratings this year and I think it's absolutely awesome.

I feel like this could be the solution for the issue where a low overall player makes the pro bowl but doesn't progress to where he should be (90ish overall) and stays in the 70s. Now due to production he can be 90.

Yeah, I think that was mainly a Potential issue more than anything. Guys that had C and below just would not progress no matter what they did it seemed like. And then you could have a guy with A potential at third string QB for three seasons and he would develop into a 90 overall without ever taking a snap.

Some of the new ratings fluctuate greatly based on performance which causes the players overall to swing as well.
