Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Issue Rears Its Ugly Head

Let's get away from the pointless back and forth about who's right and who's wrong (since not everyone will ever see eye to eye) and back to discussion.

What's in front of them is only one NFL Licensed football game and MANY choices of housing, including building your own home. Building your own NFL Licensed football game isn't practical OR EVEN CURRENTLY POSSIBLE.

@bucky the analogy fits because the nfl licence is like the location of the house. you have no other choice for football game if you want the nfl. just like you have no other choice in houses if you want that location. unless you buy the house, destroy it, and build the one you want. which is impractical and impossible if you only have enough for the original house.

You know, I can see people who are really upset about this coming here to get their points across and even try and push EA to get this in the game(either on the disc or a dlc). What I don't get at all are people actually taking the time to come here and state over and over that they don't care about this feature and are doing their best to tell the majority that do care they are wrong and to give EA a break. I think a lot of people don't understand the very point of a thread like this.

It is very clear by reading every website, forum, thread, post, that the lack of player editing is a huge issue! So I can't see at this point what exactly some people are defending.

If you aren't unhappy about the lack of player editing, that is great. We are happy for you, we really are. We don't even want to tell you that you are wrong for thinking how you do. It's your game too, it's your money too, we hope you love Madden 13. However, what is the point coming here and telling all these people they need to stop posting and see eye to eye with you? I don't get that at all. This isn't just a few people, read the entire web guys. This is everywhere. Lots and lots of upset people. Get over it.

A lot of the back and forth is generated by the particularly negative posters who are so incensed by a few things being left out, that it's almost like they say to themselves, "screw it, let's just verbally tear this whole thing down." Just as 87birdman said, "Discussions should incorporate both sides, but it seems like everything is directed back towards the negative like the positive doesn't even exist, and that is wrong. Because then it isn't a discussion it is complaining and whineing."

If the focus was kept on those particular things I don't think anyone would be pushing back, but there's just too many people who are pretending there's not a single step forward and the entire edition of Madden is one huge leap backwards. DNMHIII is a great example of someone who keeps it in perspective - he is pretty unhappy with some of the issues but doesn't hesitate to praise the good things, where certain others just want to pretend that good doesn't exist.

After about day four, civility and cool-headedness were lost among a lot of the OS posters.

I don't think we really know how huge of a deal it is yet. Once the game comes out we'll have a better idea.
