Fact of the matter is, for us online gamers, we're going to be stuck playing whatever the default speed is... and that speed is "Normal", which too most, is too fast...

I figured it's worth getting as many names down as possible in favor of making the default speed "Slow" so that maybe EA could see this and implement a last minute change.

I just think the game looks/feels more realistic, and animations play out smoother and more believably at the "Slow" setting. I think it would be doing the game a great injustice if everyone is forced to play ranked online games at "Normal", aka HyperDrive...

I do prefer the "Slow" game speed.

That said, can't an unranked quickmatch be played with any options configuration? I know that the commissioner of a multiplayer online Connected Careers game can set the settings to whatever he wants and those apply to all users.

That, or very slow, since the physics look great on very slow and speed threshold on zero. Hate it when players are running at a speed faster/slower than they actually have.

Since I don't play online with the 12 year old rocket catching nano blitzing scrubs My gameplay will be on Very slow. Sucks for anyone else.

I actually prefer "Fast" offline but "Normal" online. The lack of offline lag makes "Fast" good for offline.

I haven't decided what I like out of very slow, and slow, but I know I don't like the normal speed. It is a bit to fast. Looks a little awkward.

I like the slow setting. Animations happen way too fast on Normal and the game starts looking silly. I havn't tried very slow yet, but I have a feeling I might even like that better than slow.

To me, "fast" is about onpar with what I've been used to with NCAA.

I play on Normal Speed also. I agree that Slow looks better though.

I have been playing with 100 speed threshold for a couple of weeks and really am enjoying it. Players with speed like Vernon Davis and Ted Ginn matter... but you don't get away with garbage like this:

... and actually I have done a LOT worse by simply running one way and changing direction with a fast punt returner. I was ableto return 1 or 2 a game doing that kind of thing.

Also, using 4 injury/100 fatigue settings [and adjusted auto-subs] helps as well.

Big plays still happen but they aren't as common, nor do they feel as arcade like as they used to. The 100 fatigue makes the stamina and injury rating matter a lot more. 100 speed threshold makes having lots of speed matter more actually. With 100 threshold, the gap between 90 and 95 speed is smaller, so you need every point you can get to get away. On the other hand, you could burn line backers with 88 speed HBs because most LBs not named Patrick Willis have 86 or less speed.
