How to make defense fun

I love this years madden. The only thing is that the d, is sill boring and stale. Any suggestions on how to make playing defense a heck of a lot more fun interesting?

If you you could get an effective pass rush and actually look like your making the QB step up in the pocket and make a quick decision it would be a lot more fun. If............

Huh.... Defense is fun as hell for me. For me, its all about the chess match and letting your superstars dictate the flow of the game.

I'm very curious how you accomplish this and what difficulty settings you play on.

with the sliders I use that fit *my* playstyle, I have a lot of fun on defense as well. always have. I typically dominate with my SS(Berry), if im "bored" ill roam some with flowers and man up against whoever is dominating my team that day like calvin johnson or whoever. if its a TE, ll go over with Derrick Johnson and bump him. If thats not enough, and constantly baiting the QB with your SS and making plays and getting realistic stats isnt enough, you can always play a bit on the line, try to stuff the run, but thats the one spot I don't play much, the DL. although maybe dontari poe will change my mind on that with some 2-4-5 pressure inside.

now that the cpu wont just make awful throws right at my defender and can throw it a lot of different ways, it changes things. I Think the key is just to never look at anything relating to the cheats. I never look at any of that because I just don't want to know. I play my game as close to "real" as possible and go from there.

I'm having no problems getting good pressure with my front. I mix up blitz packages and don't just bull rush with my front every single snap. Mix in some DL stunt and twist and you should be able to get some pressure. I'm on all Pro and in my last game I had 1 sack with Hali, 1 with Houston and 1 with Bailey

Yeah I'm curious as to the chess match you speak of. Cuz I find no such chess match on D.

Its about 7-8 years overdue for a major overall in every single facet as well as ST.
