Why am I the starter in my CCM?

I created my player as an undrafted RB and joined the Packers. I haven't done anything spectacular in the preseason and am rated a 68 currently. For some reason, they have me at #1 on the depth chart. I have been the starting RB throughout the preseason and into the regular season. I looked at the depth chart and Cedric Benson (88 ovr-ish) and James Starks (74 ovr I think) are both behind me at 2 and 3. Neither of them injured.

I have looked around at all the other threads with people stating that it is difficult for them to crack the starting lineup. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong? I would like to be realistically placed down further on the depth chart...

Hmm... 20 pts is a pretty big jump still though.... even if the player fits the scheme perfectly..

Every time or just every once in a while when starting an online CCM? Very interesting though... I've heard offline has had bugs as well... so which one do I use?!!

I was planning on doing an Offline Player-CCM, until Josh posted that Online CCM will be tuned and that offline will have to wait for the patch. But, with Players Auto-Starting on Online I dont know.

But, At least 3 of my Player-CCM will start automatically(Denver FS, MIA WR, ARI OLB) because of current starters. So, I can start them right away Online. But, I didnt plan on playing with them right away.

online make u starters cause u going be playing with the friends or that what the online ccm thinks so it makes u starters right away what i heard was the reason

offline u play cpu so the game make u a back up most the time all depends ur overall and etc what the team needs if i did a player i do offline just cause u have to earn ur job

Looman also stated that starting was turned on by default on the online CCM they are hoping they can fix it with a tuning update

I didnt know that about online mode it honestly makes more sense then the offline logic I have out rushed Hightower by 750 yards by week 14 we have identical 83 overall ratings yet he is still the starter.
I started my cc as a high draft pick balanced rb.

I wondered too but I asked Looman and he said this was not intended. You're not supposed to start right away, even online.

This is why I hate EA. They knowingly release a buggy game every year and get away with it simply b/c there's no alternative.

Not to deflate your balloon, but MOST expensively made games are knowingly released buggy. It is the state of the industry, not just one game.

its bugged offline too... the game change your overal when you choose a team.

if you choose to be powerback for the rams you will get a 90overal player. and if you choose the giants wou will get a 82 and the buccaners 79 etc

but it dosent change the stats. you will get the exact same player. only the overal change to be sure you cant be a starter... its just... why adding the hightdraft option if you are forced to be a backup?
