Madden 13 PS3 - Freeze After Every Snap

hey guys, just got a copy of madden 13, and so far am loving the improvements and changes on this years game. last year was decent and i wouldnt say this years game took a step back or anything but i am having a problem with my game which kinda kills the fun. i already returned my first copy in exchange for a new one. after the snap during every single play i get lag/or a pause for like 1-2 seconds and then it plays like normal. this is offline during exhibition. i know madden has always had that issue, but after every single snap can be really irritating. anyone else having this issue? again this is on the ps3 version offline. looking forward to hear from you guys. thanks.

I'm having this issue as well.
There is also another guy that has reported this as well.

Do you happen to have an old 60gig or 20gig launch unit?
Both of us have 60gig launch units and have the same exact issue.

Could be a console model issue similar to what 4gb 360 owners experience on some games. Not sure. I have a 120gb and haven't had that happen.

So what's the fix then? I have to buy a new console since the code of the game doesn't like the 60gig sku?

A similar issue was present in FIFA 11, there were 1-2 second freezes, and there was no patch for that. In FIFA 12 the problem disapperared.

Everybody having the issue had 120 GB PS3 Slim models.

I have a 120 gig and uts happening to me as well. Its like a splut secinf lag. Annoying!

I have a 320 gb slim ps3 the Uncharted Drake 3 edition so its new

When the play is dead and the automatic replay starts but you want to skip it because it gets annoying after almost each play you press X button to skip the replay and go to the play call screen and each time there is a freeze of a second or so before it skips the replay and goes to the play call screen.

It is annoying and a total killer for the enjoyment of the game on ps3

This does not happen on 360

Only way to try and get over it is by quickly pressing the x as soon as you are down by contact or the cpu to get to the play screen and avoid the stupid freeze

I am sure every ps3 copy is like that because no way this many heads can be having this issue without it being a spread out thing

Its funny because the demos on PS3 didn't have the button lag

I'm not sure, I will see if it is wide spread. Only suggestion is make sure you have plenty of room on your hard drive.

This issue is not after the play, it's as soon as you snap the ball to the QB, punter, kicker. The game freezes for 1-2 seconds. Like whole seconds. Say it out loud, "1 Mississippi. 2 Mississippi."

I can confirm this is a Problem for the original 60gig SKU.

I tried the game on a 40gig SKU and had ZERO issues. The menus moved faster. The gameplay freezing after the snap is gone.

I didn't think I would ever say it but I am... happy.... my 60gig bit the big one about four months ago. Forced me to buy a new PS3.
