Out routes
I can't get any success with these especially from the slot. Even in man coverage, my WR is always glued by a defender, even if it's a LB. And when it seems like I get a step on the defender and I throw a good ball, the defender reaches over and picks it off when he shouldn'tTags: None -

Re: Out routes
What game setting, play now, offline ccm or online ccm? Might want to think about a change in difficulty or bump in sliders.
The slider subforum is a good place to start. Plenty of threads to find settings that work for you.
Keep in mind the out route is typically the most difficult pass to make in football, the cut has to be spot on, the coverage has to be right and the throw needs to be led the right amount. It makes sense that this throw is difficult, but you should still look around for some good settings that work for you as far as game difficulty (at least pass offense and CPU pass defense)Jason and Cole's Madden 2013 Offline CCM All-Madden Sliders:

Re: Out routes
Is it like a 5-7 yard out or a deep out? I normally throw the out to my slot guy with the outside guy running a go route in a 5-7 yard out. If I am going for a deep out ( Anything over 10 yards) I will have my outside guy run a slant basically underneath the slot guy clearing out the sideline for my slot guy.Follow me on Twitter @T4VertsComment

I've just been playing ranked matches. And I understand the art of the out route. And often times my Wr is a lot better than the cornerComment

Re: Out routes
Online is a whole different ball game due to the human factor. If it is man coverage, I hardly ever throw the out.
But, try using concept plays like "Levels" and such where the receivers break in at different intervals or have one run an in at 5 and another run at out at 7 or something to mix up coverage.
I've also noticed that the defending CB's if playing off, tend to stare down the QB a bit more and give the wide out a bit more cushion to open up the gap in coverage once the cut is made.Jason and Cole's Madden 2013 Offline CCM All-Madden Sliders:

Re: Out routes
What QB are you using?
I use the Ravens and the deep out route is my go to route for 3rd and longs. You have to lead the WR high and towards the sideline. I've only used Flacco so I don't know how well it works with a weak armed QB
Edit: Like someone previously said, do you mean deep outs or quick outs? I stay away from quick outs. I only use them as "dummy routes" to free up another player.Last edited by ggsimmonds; 08-29-2012, 01:59 PM.Comment

Re: Out routes
Your throwing too late if you can 'see seperation'. Out route is a timing route, throw it before he breaks. Run it in practice mode vs man, because The timing is different between different out routes. I have some out routes in the playbook that I use where is more of a speed out even though the play art looks the same as other out rouets. They dont break down before cutting, and you have to throw it before they break. Its a catch 100% vs man.I can't get any success with these especially from the slot.
