EA says: Xbox Arcade or 4G slim models are not able to handle Madden 13, possibly

Has anyone had success playing this game if you own either of the two models? I just got off the phone with EA and they basically said my Arcade model likely doesn't have enough memory to run Madden 13, as it had the same issue with Madden 12. They're only advice would be to buy a different model Xbox... another user at the EA forums also was told the same thing. Please if you havn't purchased the game yet or know someone who might, check what model of Xbox you own. It's not going to work for the lower end XBOX models. If it does work, please share. I would think there are tons of people experiencing the same issues who have these models of Xboxs.

I for one will probably opt to trade this game then to waste money on a new system, when I have ZERO problems with any game other than Madden...

is anyone here able to play the game successfully for an extended period of time on any of the Xbox model types?

I have the 4GB slim model, have been running madden just fine

Did they specify whether or not a hard drive makes the difference? Because I have a 250GB xbox hard drive

couldn't you just buy the 320GB hard drive instead of buying a new xbox?

it runs it just fine..I think they talking about replays because of the lack of harddrive

i should have specified. the 4gb slim is the model with the problems. I get freezes without the hard drive attached. How would increasing HDD size cure all these bugs. I would need proof before actually trying that.

Mine was a 4GB slim that I just bought a 250GB HD for. Works just fine....

well were you having the issues with the 4gb hard drive. I have a arcade model, note sure about the hard drive upgrade

I never tried it with the 4GB HDD, I bought the 250GB HDD when I got my Xbox. Not even sure I still have the old one. What I'm saying though is I have a slim 4GB that I just upgraded the HDD on and it's fine.

You need the hard drive. I have the 4g black slim console and purchased a 320g HDD and now I can play Madden as well as Battlefeild 3 and any other number of games... BattlefIEld SUX without the HDD.

You need the hard drive. I have the 4g black slim console and purchased a 320g HDD and now I can play Madden as well as Battlefeild 3 and any other number of games... BattlefIEld SUX without the HDD.

Not trying to start a console vs. PC war but doesn't Battlefield suck on consoles period? Seriously don't know because I never tried the beta on either my PS3 or Xbox, but I cant imagine it would look that nice, or run that smoothly.....

It's printed on the back of the game box for battlefield 3, too. "suggests " harddrive. Fact is, it's a tremendous difference without it... Several other new games too...dragons dogma, I think.

BF3 plays great on the XBOX, one of my favorite games. I have the 4 GB slim model with attached hardrive(20 GB). I play M13 from the default memory and it plays fine. I'm gunna transfer M13 content over to the hardrive, see if it makes a difference.

gahdamn if i have to waste money on a hard drive... does anyone have the arcade xbox model and 250 gb hard drive that aren't having issue and used to have issues before the upgrade... by this I mean the older white model circa 2007, not the original release of Xboxs. the arcade model was released as the cheapest priced Xbox package available when released. I had the original "Core" model, but that one and a replacement had to be replaced through warranty. I just want to know if anyone is playing the game on the Arcade model, and if it require at least 250gb. i will buy one if it's possible. **** you EA and M$ for taking my money

Madden games aren't capable of using a USB flash drive as their primary storage device?

I think some of the responses are missing the point, if you ONLY have 4GB of memory or the old arcade you might have a problem, if you upgraded your hard drive you surely won't have a problem because you have more memory than just the 4GB and whatever is in the old arcade.

I have the Gears of War Special Edition console with 320 GB, but I don't like to brag.
