Anyone seeing too many sacks from their DE?

Out of nowhere I have 20 sacks with B. Robison in my 1st year as Vikes coach and I've only played 12 games. He's good but he isn't that good.

obviously EA saw him play Guy Whimper last Sunday and adjusted his in game performance accordingly

No seriously... there is some kind of funkiness in the game where the LDE somehow gets entirely more sacks than the RDE for almost any team... i've sort of seen it myself and others have reported it also.

That would be great if I was having success with other parts of my defense but I've already got my hands full. Robison is the only success story of my 3-9 season. Jared Allen only has 6 sacks and Kevin Williams has 4 and Robison has 20.

what game speed are you playing at... and do you actually control Robison?

Move Allen to Left End and he will be the one with 20+ sacks. This is a legacy issue with Elite Right Ends getting way too few sacks and mediocre Left Ends getting way too many.

Lol, I have the opposite problem. 9 games through my CCM and D-Ware has 1 sack on the season.

One thing that makes the problem worse is if you fan out your D-Line and take control of a DB before the play. Swith to a lineman once the play starts.

Yeah, Jabaal Sheard in year one of my Browns had 20 sacks. But hes an 88 OVR if you swith his position to speed rusher.

If I get a couple early in the game I quit using him. So far its the only crazy out of wack stat Ive seen. My offensive numbers are a little below average and im not gettign too many picks, etc.

The RT play is flawed where the LT in pass protection is solid the RT is an open door.

^^^ this. It's some kind of glitch with the RT. The LE just pushes off and around him half the time.

The last thing we should be doing is crying about the number of sacks from DEs after the monstrosity that was Madden 12.

I can finally get a manually-controlled speed rush from my DEs. It's far from perfect..but much improved from 12 when 90% of the sacks came from DTs.

They got this right this year IMHO.

way to many sacks coming from the right side the RT seems to be glitched an not even block half the time i literally got 42 sacks in 1 season from packers LOLB nick perry on all madden an i wasnt controling him and hes only a 74 ovr rating

its just crazy how dumb the RTs are and from the other side clay matthews only got me 6 sacks that season

they need to tune or patch this asap cuz sliders dont help cux if i raise cpu pass block then perry will prob still have 20 and nobody else will be able to get sacks at all

just at a quick glance, it appears it may be ratings based and not really a "glitch", so to speak.

It looks like most teams have a LT that is either in the very high 80s or 90s in the pass blocking categories but their RTs tend to be low 80s high 70s.

So what we are seeing might just be too big of a disparity in player ratings instead of an actual gameplay bug. This needs some testing, of course to verify. I'm in the process of finding some teams with subpar starting LTs and see how well they hold up in protection
