Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
When players want to negotiate contracts in the middle of the season can you hold it off until the end of the year? Forte out for the year and he wants a new contract in week 2. I dont wanna lose him but I wanna see what my options are at the end of the year. Thanks in advance. -
Re: Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
You can click dismiss and while it will show up weekly, you can still choose to re-sign him in the offseason at the appropriate stage. Just remember players can now decline and opt for free agency if they don't like your offer.
Whatever you do, don't end the negotiations or you will not be able to re-sign him without having to win him in FA.
The GM in me says that now is the time to offer him though, maybe you'll get Forte cheaper than you would normally since he is hurt.Last edited by RedZoneD25; 09-14-2012, 08:37 PM. -

Again, EA doesn't put the proper player contracts in the game? I would expected all those new contracts would have been in the Week 1 Roster Update but your telling me those aren't in the Week 2 update?Comment

Re: Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
Rodgers desires 22 mil / year, i don't want to give him that kind of money. Can someone please give me a solution how to resign him without losing him.
I was thinking if I shall delegate the contract negotiations, is this a good strategy to keep high value player off the FA market?
ThanksComment

I re-signed Luck after his rookie contract expired 6/120 and thought it was a steal.Comment

Re: Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
I see that you have to sign Rodgers. I suggest you either give him $25m a season with NO signing bonus which means that once you acquire his replacement, you can release/trade him without any cap penalty. If you want to keep him, I suggest saving your CCM first and try different combinations like $18m base a year with $4m bonus a year. That would equal $22m a year.
Hope this helps and good luck with whatever you decide to do with Rodgers.Comment

Re: Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
Salary and Signing Bonus are separate but the total listed underneath includes both combined. Dont know if this helps but for example, im playing as the 49ers and I re-signed FS Dashon Goldson to a 4 year/$32m contract including a $12m signing bonus. His base salary is $5m a year with his bonus money being $3m a year. $20m base plus $12m bonus equals $32m total.

I am actually ready to pay him whatever he desires, just needed some extra advice cause I am playing online CCM and once I put the offer on the table thre is no way back.
I intend to give him 20mils salary + 2mil bonus for the next 6 years, I just hope he doesn't reject. He has a medium interest in resigning so I hope I could get him for less money.Comment

Keep in mind that, if you do lowball him and he rejects, you won't be able to negotiate with him any further, but you can slap the franchise tag on him, which might be cheaper than 22 million for that one season. That would let you negotiate with him the following season. My Madden '13 CCM

Re: Madden 13 Connected Careers Mode Contract Question
Can't you negotiate the contract with him on a weekly basis? If that's the case, he will only reject your offer if it's a low one, I'm guessing something around 16 M/$ or lower. If you are somewhere around his desired range, he will keep negotiating with you until he accepts.

I will keep u posted.Comment

Be-careful, if you low ball him too much he could end negations. If he does you will have to put the franchise tag on him in the off season or lose him..Comment
