Why can't I put players in motion in CCM????

I'm playing as a QB in CCM Offline and cannot put players in motion. Am I missing something? Is this a glitch? I can do it while playing exhibition games but not while in CCM mode. Thanks

Very good question my friend.

Edit: By the way, I was playing CCM as a QB online, and I can't put anyone in motion either. So it's not an offline vs online thing. I don't know if it was done on purpose or not, but it's equally as strange to the fact that you can audible and change routes as a skill player on offense. Very strange.
