You do know that you don't have to do that? Just press circle instead of X when the system ask you to do this. Still pretty weird that the game doesn't allow you to turn of the PS3 normaly.

I've noticed that it doesn't crash when i eject the disc before quitting. But as said above you can exit out of the file restore option.

Curious question but does it still crash if your account is signed out, anyone know?

Happens to me too. And only when I quit Madden....not when I quit any other game.

Ahhhh the people with ps3. Still amazed they pick that over Xbox. The only reason to own a ps3 is for The Show. You should really get an Xbox for any other game.

I RROD 3 times and had enough. Still have my 360 sitting around but only use ps3. Not only for the games not on xbox but for bluray movies.

To the OP, the only way to quit madden is from the main menu. Go back to the main menu, then press the PS button, then select quit game. Or select shut down system.

And as stated before, you can just circle out of that screen and cancel it.

All I can say is that you better be careful (especially if you are using a fatty) and use the sign-out workaround. Someone has already reported getting YLOD as a result of this.

Same - never have an issue on any other game. Only experience it with Madden.

Not true. I have 2 - 360's and a PS3, if I could only have once console I'd go with the PS3. With the PS-Plus subscription you get a ton of free games, a much better value then anything you get on the 360. Also the system seems more reliable. Both my 360's have been sent out for repair several times, PS3 never had a problem with it.

I'm starting to get scared for the fate of my ps3.

Because Xbox is garbage. I play Xbox probably just as much as my PS3 but seriously I've had to replace it 3 times and if you even slightly bump into it, your disc is most likely ruined. I've had the same PS3 since the slim model first came out. No issues. And I'd never pay for XBL just play online with a bunch of kids who rage quit.

Not saying PS3 is "better", just more reliable.
