Is there some sort glitch that makes defenders not cover TE very... tight? I was playing someone who would go to Gronk nonstop and he had a huge game. It didn't really annoy that he put big stats because he is Gronk. What annoyed me though was that the defender never seemed to pick him up fast enough off the LOS. It didn't matter if I put a CB, S, or LB on him the coverage never seemed to be tight enough.

That is the consensus.
It is far worse to see a WR that someone subs at TE, because the game treats them as a TE in coverage (IE barely covers them).
Megatron out of the TE position is an easy 2-300 yard game. -

I had that happen to me twice yesterday. And I was playing as the stinking Chiefs, as I always do.... First dude was Lions with Megatron at TE. Second dude was the Patriots, so you know what that did!Comment

I don't play online games, but even against the cpu the coverage is bad on TEs. I can't even get my guys to press them like a normal wr even when they're split out wide....game just refuses to do it.Comment

As far as bumping goes, TE's are unbumple at the LOS. Meaning you have to manually bump if you want to jam him, sucks but that's the way the game is.Comment

Sorry, I hate when people say this right here!!!
It has NEVER been like it is now in madden 13, i''l explain why...
1) I never had trouble with TE's gaining over 200yds a game
2) Lead Passing wasnt in Madden previous to this TCP they implemented in 13
3) The known freestyle players are also having issues with this exact topic here
4) Everyone scheme online is 2TE formations and they're streaking them and lead passing either to the inside or outside and the defenders do not react to this at all
5) With the right plays in your audibles, the counter to this will open you up like a Medical Examiner covering a first 48 case and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it.
The game on defense is broken literally when it comes to this, its been discussed on forums and people have youtube videos showing how this is undefendable and how the defender do not react to button presses and how the TE is never looking at the ball to even know it was led as far it is in this game to get it to work like it is now.
Trust, stop commenting on things you wont take your scary arse online and see for yourself. Offline players should just keep quiet unless you play head to head with a friend and he does this to you all game with a NO HUDDLE to boot.
