Its already marked down to $39 on sale and its only been a month. If you keep a eye on this link

You will see sales are slowing drastically.EA is gonna have to run some sales on this game, or drop the price. Should have a rush at Thanksgiving & Christmas, but it looks as though most people planning on buying Madden preordered or bought in the first two weeks.

Right now it looks as though 13 may not pass 12 in sales.

I've held out so far but that's very tempting. Worried though since I'm an offline franchise player only and all I've seen is complaints about offline franchise being totally shambolic. Eh, I'll go spend my $60 today on FIFA, that's worth every penny. And I'll hem and haw on this Madden thing until midnight.

Yes, another great point. These 1.9 million estimates are also based off the low priced preorder deals they used to increase up front sales. Madden is going to have to run some good deals to increase sales to 5 million, much less 10 million they once were at. One reason I think we will see many good deals this year on Madden 13, including the $29.99 deal that has been going on at black friday the past 2-3 years.

$39.99 isn't a bad price if you are big Madden fan. Best price so far. Might as well wait a month more and get it for $29.99 thanksgiving week. I did that the past 2 years. The game is not worth over $39.99 IMO, specially in it's offline present state. Patch should be out before Thanksgiving(I should hope anyway)

That article shows out of 41.7 million Xbox sales, VGcharts appear to be off .3 million? Dude, it doesn't need to be that accurate to see they are down 5 million sales aprox from Madden 07. If anything that shows they are more accurate then I thought they were. I don't need it down to the penny to see sales are slipping every year, and that nothing has lead us to believe it's any different this year. They ran huge preorder deals this year. They released their "record" sales info on their first 2 weeks for marketing, but not a peep sense then? They set themselves up for a record breaking start with marketing and sale prices, question is how are they doing after those first 2 weeks?

I have also read some articles that state vgcharts may be a bit off, but then go back and correct it as they get the latest and more accurate final figures,etc.

Fair enough but thanksgiving is two months away, and myself, if I plan on getting a game, ten dollars is worth two months of play. Also those retailers offered similar deals in previous years.
