M12 vs M13
I've yet to purchase M13. Was awaiting the new Coach Mode patch. With that being said, I've heard there's still countless bugs and issues even with the newly released patch. So if you had to do it all over again, which would you choose to keep; M12 or M13?Tags: None -

Re: M12 vs M13
The game play in m13 is way better I think the off n D are about the same level as they have been in a long time... But truthfully you can't compare the 2 anymore bc it seems madden kinda started over and if they focus on the development of ccm madden could be amazing!! But then again i don't complain bc my de arm looks small or all my players have the captain patch on ect.. Def love the salary cap being brought back but they def need to get the issues fixed but yea def excited on the direction madden is headed!!Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
I'm sticking with Madden 12, and investing more and more time into enjoying it/improving my experience.
I also started up a Madden Blog here where you can read what I am doing and why I am doing it. [link in my signature.]
There is a lot I like about Madden 13 [ideas] but the execution is far from where I want it. We were told they spent two years working on 13... and that's what a lot of us wanted. However, it looks like they should have spent 3 or 4. I'm not very interested in 13 at all. I am more interested in hearing news for Madden 14.
I'm more than okay with missing Madden for a year. I have APF 2k8 if I crave really good game play, and I have Madden 12 with all my custom settings and playbooks and roster and such if I want the NFL.
It's all up to you and how you want to play. I love having a custom offensive and defensive playbook. I love being able to edit rosters & ratings, and to make all kinds of little tweaks & adjustments to the game. Draft story lines and a twitter feed are things I want in Madden franchise, but they are not worth the trade off and $60 to me.Last edited by PGaither84; 10-17-2012, 12:59 PM.Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
Personally I feel the gameplay is much better in 13, and the infinity engine is a step in the right direction. I can say that as far as picking up and playing a quick play now game, or an online match this is probably the most fun I have had with madden in a while. However being a big franchise player, while ccm is a cool concept and has the potential to be a refreshing change I feel they need to spend more time with it and work some things out. With out going in to a huge B***h fest I feel like a lot of things were overlooked, such as transaction logs, which is a pain not being able to see the transactions of the league.
Madden 13 feels like it could be a step in the right direction, lets just hope that 14 takes steps forward and builds on this not any steps back.Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
gameplay is the pretty mcuh the same with a few added on field additions in M13.
where m13 outshines m12 is in the commentary department.
AI decision making is better in M12, but the M13 patch did clean up the gameplay decisions.
Layout in M13 is horrible, and Im not a fan of ccm. though Im starting to explore it more.
m13 also makes me appreciate m12 more.
Im not ahuge MAdden fan at all. I prefer 2k, but I have to admit that M13 is good, and because of thsi Ive gone back to 12.
I still play 2k5 and APF. but MAdden is getting alot more play time this year.Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
you know what makes m13 better than m12 ?? i havent seen a nano blitz yet!!!! you wanted to be able to edit players ect m13 now lets you do that.... oh boo hoo you cant use your custom playbook of cheese plays...... but yea just the lack of nano blitzes and the ability to play a straight game makes m13 so much better than m12Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
It's this kind of arrogant and ignorant attitude that saddens me about fellow Madden gamers. Firstly, I am not and never have been sold on the idea of a money play. Secondly, the point of a custom playbook for me is so that I can take all the garbage plays out.you know what makes m13 better than m12 ?? i havent seen a nano blitz yet!!!! you wanted to be able to edit players ect m13 now lets you do that.... oh boo hoo you cant use your custom playbook of cheese plays...... but yea just the lack of nano blitzes and the ability to play a straight game makes m13 so much better than m12
What I mean are plays like "Engage Eight." I also don't like to drop defensive linemen into coverage, nor do I like to send less than 4 pass rushers at the QB, so it is nice to go in and rip out all of those plays as well. They are not clogging up my book. After that, I went in and ripped out redundant plays. I don't need FS Zone Blitz out of the 3-4 Normal, Even, Odd, and Predator fronts. I just need one. That thins out and simplifies my playbook. The same is true on offense.Last edited by PGaither84; 10-18-2012, 11:53 AM.Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
sniff sniff i cant make my playbook dumb enough so i can use it oh my!!! guess you enjoy running the same 10-15 plays every game!!! and to say you are not putting in " money plays" is a lie!! personally custom playbooks shouldnt ever be allowed in online play at all!! the game has issues but madden will always have issues but overall m13 is a great product compared to m12 n m11...Comment

Re: M12 vs M13
I'm playing both and OVERALL M12 plays the better game. M13 I like, some of the gameplay aspects are just amazing and fun, but at the same time some of the gameplay is just broken.
The main reason I say overall M12 because the late game CPU AI actually works where in M13 it does not. You'd think this would be something they'd fix in the last patch but it wasn't even on the list.Comment
