Roughing the passer

There were at least four calls for roughing the passer in my first year of CCM. All the calls were against me. I've watched replays and many, many times I've seen the same play not called against CPU. Is this a one-sided call?

My penalty sliders are at default.

I really think this is glitched but it might not be. I get that penalty EVERY game whether it is online CC or just random match. And it is always Terrell Suggs.

The RTP slider needs to be set at 54. If it's 53, it'll be too few....if it's 55, it'll be too many. I've seen it called equally set at 54.

I actually see more roughing the passer called against the CPU in my games. I had it at 53 for the longest. It felt like it was the best spot for a while and it's still not bad but I felt like it could drop one more point. I kept seeing at least 1-2 roughing the passier penalities in every game. You don't see roughing the passer being called in every single game. At 52 it seems perfect. I see about 1-2 every other game which is more realistic in my opinion..

I get several called on me per game but have never seen once called on the CPU.

Same here. For whatever reason, my defenders don't get called on it very much. When I have been called, usually it's my defensive lineman that caused it because I try a hit stick tackle and the animation is "delayed" and then launches when the ball is gone already.

Now and then, my pass rushing OLB will cause it. Maybe it's the Big Hitter trait? I think it triggers only on hit stick moves and most of my team doesn't have the trait while it seems like everyone and their twin has it for the CPU teams.

Yeah I had a few of my drives stay alive because of the CPU crushing my QB and getting the roughing the passer called.. It also could be because of my set up with having the CPUs pass blocking high with the USER pass rush at 0 and having my USER pass blocking at 0 matched up with the CPUs pass rush at 100..

I feel like i see this call being made more often lately for my chiefs team. Always Tamba Hali - but Justin Houston is the one getting to the QB most, and he has hard hitting trait as well :s

I get it called a lot since all you have to do is touch the quartback. I've had it happen when my player was on the ground and the qb stepped into his throw and touch my player.

I've seen a lot of calls when I had it on 54 now on 53 its a little less byt in todays NFLroughing the passer happens a lot once I had ryan kerrigan and the play was over cam newton walked into him and fell down and got a roughing the passer call I laughee bc that seems like something that would happen

I personally get about 3 or 4 'Roughing the Passer' calls against me each game.. but.. it's because I try and hurt the quarterback.

As for the computer, I'd say it's pretty rare that I see them get them, regardless of what my sliders are at. That's because I usually roll out of the pocket and try and take as few hits as possible with my quarterback.
