Jobbing the redskins

The last update just messed up the redskins offense. Ratings appeared to be lowered across the offensive line; now its to the point where as soon as I take a three step drop I have three linemen in my face. This is combined with RG3's injury rating being lowered which makes for a violatile mixture when attempting to come from behind or having to make downfield plays. Before the update today I had none of these problems and the team played much like the playoff caliber team they are in real-life.

Screwing over the redskins; yep same Madden different year.

The Redskins are my favorite team to play against online because just about everyone is some kind of n00b and runs the same gameplan; spread the defense out in shotgun, dropback like you're going to pass and take off w/ RGIII. If not that then its a curl over the middle to the TE or a triple option where Morris takes the ball to the right.

Then they proceed to throw about 4-5 picks in the first half because they force throws because Bruce Irvin and Chris Clemons have the qb on lockdown, and they quit before the half is over.

This thread just made me think of how much I hate playing the Redskins online. They are the new 2004 Falcons.

I feel you on that but thats pretty much with all flavor of the month type teams. Last year it was the panthers with Cam; But I guess its better than people sitting on the super offense's like the packers, pats, and niners. Thats just the way with casuel players.

I have been playing with the skins for years though since it's my fav. team and I'm from the D.C. area. And I don't remember the O-Line being this bad in all my madden years which is ironic since this is the best team we have had since the gibbs years the first time around.

Although I can't stand the Redskins - you're wrong. They had a 10-6 season and clearly ARE a playoff team. I personally detest playing against the Redskins online only because of what's possible for people to do with RGIII. However to say that you "laugh" at the fact that they are a playoff caliber team is just ridiculous. Now go root for "your" team and leave the adults to the playoffs.

They went 10-6 in a division where three out of the four teams were .500 and above including last years superbowl champions. Not too sure how this equates to the o-line ratings of the redskins being taken down across the board when they are on a 7 game winning streak.

DOn't blame the Colts O-line for Andrew Lucks bad decsion making.

As a Falcon fan this makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. We've consistently made the playoffs since '08 and we still don't have any respect. How do you think the Redskins are going to get any respect in their first playoff appearance in ages, especially when it was a one game differential entry.

As for the o-line, they were probably lowered due to the injuries to RG3 and the fact that Morris makes his own plays, the o-line hasn't been his saving grace (unlike Chris Johnson). If the o-line hasn't been making the plays happen, they generally get dropped.

That O-line struggles with pass blocking, though.

Granted, tonight is just one game and the Seahawks are not an average defense, but that OL is getting killed in pass protection.

They are a strong run blocking line, but in protection, they probably should be rated on the questionable side.

It gets "hidden" to an extent because of all the deception and the mobility of Griffin. Doesn't mean I think they are bad - in fact, I love the way they want to rely on a crushing run game and a punishing defense led by my 3rd favorite LB in the game (Fletcher), but I think it's reasonable if the OL struggles in Madden.

Tonight's game shows that the skins are not playoff worthy yet. I still think they are two years away from making people think twice about them. They were lucky to make it into the playoffs.

That's because the Falcons consistently choke in the playoffs, specifically Matt "Ice". What was said was that the Redskins lucked into the playoffs, which was simply untrue. I don't like the team, but that doesn't mean that everything they've done up to getting beaten today wasn't impressive. As for the Falcons - they'll choke again.......bet on it.
