In my CCM I drafted a great power back named Mark Wood. His stiff arm and trucking ratings are high. I just can't use him though. I've been told I have to press stiff arm or move the truck stick forward a little earlier on stiff arms and trucks but it doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have tips on using power backs?

You gotta use the stiff arm right before you receive contact same with trucking it also helps to have a higher spees threshold sense most power backs aren't as fast this gives them a lil advantage I think -

i find more success with stiff arms and truck stick late in the game, almost like the defense gets tired

You need strong blockers with high run blocking and impact blocking. Power backs in Madden can't just make plays like speed backs can, they need help from good blockers. Obviously 90% of your runs should be either to the inside or off tackle. If you know how to run stretch and power, those are money plays for power backs. A lot of it is in animations, you'll find that speed backs get tackled backwards while power backs fall forward and drag defenders, a difference in 3-5 yards. You get more of these animations when you finish your runs with truck stick, and I haven't found much success with stiff arms in Madden except when I'm running along the sideline.Eagles - Flyers - Phillies - 76ers - NovaComment
