Madden 25 Purchasing Strategy

So, it's a strange year for sports fans. With next-gen looming around the corner. What is your Madden purchasing strategy.

Every year, I purchase both Madden and NCAA. This year, I am thinking that I will only purchase NCAA14 and then wait until November (or whenever) for Madden 25 on Next Gen.

How are you approaching it? Getting both? Waiting? Something else?

Getting Ncaa14 on ps3 stocking up draft classes and waiting for Madden 25 on ps4.

I'm getting both NCAA and Madden on current gen, and when the PS4 comes out I'll trade in both games to help pay for next gen Madden. Hopefully the Madden Share info that comes out today will have good news for those of us making the jump and want to take our progress with us.

would be really nice if somehow we could get a really good trade in value or something for m25 (ps3 version ) , if trading in for m25 ps4 version. seeing as it will about 3 months waiting period if you want to play it on ps4. otherwise dont think ill be buying it on ps3 due to the fact that when i try to trade it in at gamestop ( where ill have to pay 60$+ for it) ill prob only be offerd 25-30 bucks max for it in trade in value. EA really needs to work out some kinda of deal , so we dont have to pay 90 bucks to play madden , without having to wait 3 months for the ps4 to come out.also , as of right now , they are "working on" trying to allow the ps4 version of madden to import draft classes from ncaa 14. but because ncaa 14 is only gonna be on this gen system, as of right now, it doesnt work on ps4. "working on it " and it will be there are not the same to me, so im holding out hope they get it figured out before ps4 version comes out.

Are the draft classes from NCAA on PS3 going to work on M25 for PS4? That would be impressive if EA got that to work.

I want to get NCAA, but Madden is my priority. I don't know if I can get both. I'll definitely get Madden for Xbox 360 now and hopefully for Xbox One later.

Madden hasn't done enough this generation to get me to spend $120 on the game, and the ship for me as sailed on NCAA. I can watch coaches film from the past three seasons for $70 and that is ideal for the football junkie in me so I will be buying Madden for PS4, but not for current gen.

I was thinking about this but I can't go from August to November without any NFL football game...I'll buy all three. Can't wait for NCAA 14, 12 days to go!!

Good question OP and I have flip flopped on this just about every week, lol. I plan on getting NCAA 14, skipping M25 current gen and getting M25 next gen, unless the demo for M25 is somehow a game changer and/or the community is able to do some miraculous things with Madden Share. If that happens, I will likely buy NCAA 14, trade it in for Madden 25 current gen and then trade that it for M25 next gen.

The main reason I'm apprehensive about M25 current gen is because of the head scratching missing elements in NCAA that aren't in Madden. Also, I wonder how much XP progression and CFM will frustrate me for M25 current and next-gen, in comparison to CCM in M13. If that still ruins the game and immersion for me, I will likely just get NCAA 14 and play that until NBA2k14 next-gen is released, skipping M25 for current and next gen. Man I hope next-gen M25 doesn't play a great game of football only to have something in CFM ruin the career mode for me.

I'm with you brother. There's absolutely no way I could go from August until PS4's launch date without a pro football game.

Getting NCAA for the OD my friends and I have, but PS4 Madden is what I'm waiting for.

I could not agree more. CFM this year actually forced me into simply playing most of my games as exhibition. Hopefully owner mode makes it a little more streamlined. Though, somehow I doubt that.

This may sound super whiny, but this year, I am skipping madden (current-gen) because I just need some sort of refresh in the graphics department. I just feel like I am playing the same game over and over (once I figure out the exploits). However, with NCAA Coordinator Cam has taken care of that for me, it almost feels like a whole new game!

i'll be getting it for PS3 and also getting the season ticket that way if I don't see things I like like the run blocking that's in ncaa 14 etc i'll just skip 25.

I'll be getting NCAA on 360 and Madden 25 on PS4. Unless I get it as a gift, as I got Madden 13, I'll be skipping Madden 25 on 360. It does look like fun though, but I think NCAA should be able to fulfill my football fix. The demo when it actually worked was really fun. I tried playing the demo on my ps3 but I just can't get into sports games on PS3.
