The MADDEN HYPE is gone

Don't get me wrong there are guys looking forward to the game.
But now you kind of get the sense that players aren't overly hyped because we have the feeling of knowing what kind of game we are getting. Could be because of next GEN. What do you guys think.

people will line up at midnight around the country regardless of how much hype, or lack thereof we think they may be. People don't care, they just want their NFL fix. I got mine for 29.99 so I'm doing all right if it's just average. (Best buy messed up an order)

I feel like my hype for this gen madden is gone, pretty much because of next gen. I would def be more excited about this month if i didnt have Madden 25 on PS4 already on reserve.

But for the guys that are not going to get Madden on next gen anytime soon they will be in line picking it up at midnight like usual I bet.

Honestly, they could release a PS2 version of the game or the equivalent of Madden 10 and people would still line up around the corner because it's the NFL. The whole Country is HYPED on the National Football League right now. So it doesn't matter what the name of the only NFL-licensed game is or how good it is or isn't. NFL. NFL. NFL.

Im hyped for next-gen. I won't be buying the current gen... because although next-gen will be fresh... the second I'd see a bad animation that's in current-gen i'd get very frustrated haha so Im just gonna wait til november.

I think the overall hype for M25 in general is about 40% what it was last year, It's a direct result of Madden 13 and the disappoint it caused. I personally plan on getting it even though the lack playable options and practical flexibility with legends on a game with Barry Sanders on the cover bothers me.

I got the revamped Dolphins in two of the very best in online leagues. I guess it's pretty obvious I'm excited.

I'm just as excited for Madden as usual, but for the long time Madden player, its just another day on the calender. I use to be in line at midnight, staying up half the night playing every match up possible.

But now, I have to get my son ready for the first day of school tomorrow. So I probably won't play the demo until late tomorrow....but will enjoy it still the same.

Maybe it's because the last however many iterations have been rehashed, recycled version of the previous years with updated rosters.

We need competition. As long as EA is the only game in town, we'll continue to get the same EA product year after year.

The hype is still there. Plenty of people will be lined up at midnight waiting to get this game. For me personally the hype is dead. Current gen Madden is dead to me. Looking forward to seeing next gen footage before I make a purchase decision.

For me I really don't get hype up anymore just because of the let downs over the years. I remember the disaster that was Madden 11. I didn't mind last year's game all the much although the Connected Careers could have used some more features that seemed to be getting addressed for the most part in the new game.

I also feel that as I've gotten older I don't get as excited just because of all of the other responsibilities that I have to deal with.

I'll get it after work. I think I need to just play the game and stay away from the boards. I bet I enjoy the game 100x more than I would if I visited here post release.

I'm excited because it's a football game, an NFL game and it's NFL time.

Not getting current gen though so I'll watch YT vids until NG hits
