There is a coach mode but I am afraid it might be a phantom version of coach mode in name only for connected careers. You still may have to pass the ball yourself instead of calling the play and having the CPU do it for you. That is a big blow for us coach fanatics if this is really the case. So far, I think it is.
There's an option in settings on the main menu for coach mode. You do have to do the kicking so it's not a true coach mode, but the QB does pass for you.

Is this in the startup menu before choosing Connected Careers or is it during and after? Kicking is no big deal.
My gosh that is terrible. That means it is not in connected careers. As another one said, How dumb is it to have it in play now and not in connected careers. That does not make sense at all especially when all three modes in connected careers calls for coach style playcalling.
There is coach mode in connected career's as well as play now.You do have to kick though. Also the Qb will only run on option and designated Qb runs no scramble running from the Qb.

On the option play, will the QB run instead of handing off. or as in triple option, pitch/toss ball to HB?
This is RIDICULOUS! I am an owner. I just want to sit in my suite and watch the game. I don't want to have to choose plays or play the game. That is why I CHOSE TO BE AN OWNER!!! Come on EA!

Ok. Just found it. Actually you don't change it inside CC. You have to change it in the settings on the main screen. It will take effect inside the CC, even on existing CC's. I just verified it.
