    Difficulty Running Ball

Is anyone having difficulty running the football? I can pass all day long but I would like to have a better running attack. I have mediocre post game statics and normally average about fifty yards a game with at fifth teen attempts. Please help me out.

What skill level are you on? Need to use custom sliders there are easy and hard on here. Running ball is the easiest part of this game practice precision moves.

I'm playing with the Titans on All-Madden, running with Greene (CJ2K) is injured, and have pretty good success. I try to stay north and south running as much as possible, east and west seems to get me tackled in the backfield a lot. One cut and I go upfield ASAP. Also, try to lay off the sprint button until your blocks develop.

Yes, definitely follow your blockers and DO NOT Sprint until you're in the open. Not sure if it really does, but it seems like when you hit sprint before blocks are setup or going east/west the defenders magically triple their speed.

I noticed if I tap the sprint button once I hand the ball off I get good yardage but I'm only tapping the button not holding. I guess you really have to use speed bursts this year I been trying to gauge my stamina too if I break away from the pack I gonna lay off the sprint button as well I hope that will keep my players energized.

The stutter step and stiff arm are your best friends to find a gap. Then turbo then spin cover up etc. don't forget to hurdle as soon as CPU dives at legs or side juke!

really? the running in this game reminds of when i used to purposely down the ball near my goal line so so I could select "hb slam" and score on one run play lol

                        Re: Difficulty Running Ball

The most important thing to having a successful run game is vision, especially with zone blocking, which is prominent in this game. It just comes down to picking the right hole, knowing when to bounce it out, and when not to.

The easiest way to practice vision is to eliminate all other factors. I suggest this: Take your finger off the sprint button. Take your thumb off the precision stick. Go to practice mode and practice run plays against random defenses using only the directional stick. By temporarily eliminating the decision of when to sprint and when to juke, you keep your focus on finding the ideal running lane and prevent it from being diluted by those other factors. Once you feel comfortable with your vision, work the sprint back in, and then the precision stick.

This isn't necessary, but when i'm playing a serious game, I try to keep my finger off the sprint trigger until I need to use it, rather than having it rest on it. Just seems to help with the focus.

                        General tips:

                        - I find counters to be significantly less reliable than in previous Maddens.

                        - The same goes for draws. They're still workable, but less reliable.

                        - Wide Receivers are insane blockers in this game, so personally I like outside runs.

                        - Zone blocking is very effective.

                        - When playing users, it better to try and evade tackles with the left stick than the right stick. Just a sudden change of direction is enough to cause user-controlled players to whiff. 95% of players just don't have quick enough instincts to react in time.

                        - When in doubt, go for the truck. EA superpowered the runningbacks this year and even guys like David Wilson and Ahmad Bradshaw can consistently get 3 additional yards by trucking.

                        - This goes without saying, but ensure that you're reading the defense and are switching to a pass if they have a lot of guys in the box.

I been doing some different things and I found another strategy. I noticed if I alternate my wideouts from sideline to sideline I can run more efficiently and pass. My last game I recorded 500+ in total offense on Heisman with default settings.
