Gatorade Development
How long does it take to make up the 25k invesment into rookies with the Gatorade Development trait? It seems like a high price to pay if it doesn't have really good returns in experience.Tags: None -
Re: Gatorade Development
I've had 2 different players in online CFMs pick up 15k+ in one game with quick dev. The last was a WR who returned 2 KOs for TDs in one game. I used the XP for CTH and CIT and moved that young WR from 5th to 3rd on the DC and now he'll see playing time every game.GT EarAssassin

I think it will only take a little bit, if they have good games...
It seems like the points go up much higher if you have a good game...
For example, Sammy Watkins just got 11k points with Normal development after having 7 catches 169 yards 2TDs... Add Practice on top of that and he could have 25k in 2 just over weeks of xp.Comment

Re: Gatorade Development
Yes, it increases their weekly goal gains by 5% xp too. I'm assuming Superstar tacks on another 5%, I haven't bothered to check. I'm really unsure if the XP gain includes standard game stats, or if you have to complete the weekly goals. Milestone goals don't get an XP boost though. No TV and no beer make Homer go something somethingComment

Yea there might be a couple of players worth spending it on if you play with for most of their career. Which is the way is should be.Comment

Re: Gatorade Development
It's basically a simple math breakdown.
Cost to go from Normal to Superstar: 48,750xp (25,000xp normal to quick; 23,750xp quick to superstar).
Assuming at least 50,000xp per season (easily doable with most starters) with normal development, you will earn an additional 5,000xp per year AND it will buy an additional 5,000xp worth of upgrades (for total gain of 10,000xp).
So towards the end of your fifth year with a player, you will start to see a return on your investment. Of course the more xp you gain with a player the sooner it will "pay off" and regardless of how you earn the xp (milestones/practices which AREN'T increased by development), how you spend the xp will still be reduced. So realistically you're looking at probably 4 years before it pays off for most players, much sooner for your studs. In my opinion it's worth it for just about any player 25 and younger that you plan on keeping around for at least a 6-year contract.
This also assumes it's not glitched for your CFM (so far all of my online CFMs are working correctly, can't attest to offline).Comment

Re: Gatorade Development
I'm in yr 6 offline & it definitley works as intended. If you got a young stud you want to keep for long term definitley worth it. Old vet, nah I'll pass, someone in the middle, If I'm going to keep them long term sure, why not. It worksComment
