When to start offline mode

I want play offline and build a team up with a import class. Yet I look at the ea patch seems like if I start one now I would have restart once the patch comes out. When can I start a franchise thanks

personally, I'm waiting until the patch before I start a new offline cfm. they are supposedly fixing some things that had made me quit playing my franchise

Season half over and can't start a franchise. Hopefully it corrects issue.
