Madden 08 PC version

I'm not sure why I was so late to the party but, I just got this game from Amazon and then went to footballidiot.com and I can't believe how good this game is.

It is much better than the xbox/ps2 or 360 version by far. The fact they guys are still moding this game is incredible.

I just played a game with ESPN Monday Football graphic banners and intro music then CBS. New rosters of coarse and it's running on the game engine that we all love. The graphics are pretty awesome too with all the setting turned up. Can't wait to get a controler and have fun with this game.

Yeah, I got it earlier this year, and will probably just play this instead of getting '15 on PS3.

Now, if only I knew a guy here that was really good with sliders...

Tell ya what,, If you don't have Madden 25 get it.. I got it for around $21.. Not a bad game at all... I hated 09,10,11,13.. 12 wasn't bad but 25 is pretty good.. Im talking about onfield game play..

Lol. I have both 360 and Xbox 1 versions of M25. Most do.

The great part about the PC version is the ability to Mod almost everything. The gameplay is based on the PS2 version too. We all know that ps2 gameplay is better than 360 gameplay

You can still play online leagues with the PC version too

Actually sliders in the older games used to work properly...

Now days when you tweak sliders you don't know what the hell your going to get because EA broke the sliders LOL!

I used to love doing sliders for Madden and NCAA on the older systems they were so IMPACTFUL towards gameplay.

I need to find a quality slider set. I liked this game but the DB play is poor and I felt like the CPU had way too many big plays. I found myself having way too many shoot outs.

The mods available and rosters for this version will keep it alive forever, similar to MVP Baseball.

I really think '05 is the best version overall. Gameplay, '08 takes it. But too many buggy things crept into '06-'08. The busted stat engine being at the top of the list.

Too bad the Football Freaks site went down. SO much info was lost, files too, though the important ones survived.

Still holding out hope EA does the right thing and releases a Madden for PC again, especially since they're using PC programming for the new platforms.

I am really hoping I can finally put Madden 08 PC to rest after playing Madden 15 on my PS4!

Madden 08 PC is still the best "Playing" Madden to date but I really hope Madden 15 PS4 finally changes things for the better. Madden 25 PS4 is an improvement over all the PS3 versions but it still can not beat the smooth as better game play in the Madden 08 PC version!

so here is the dumb question

if i want to load 08 on my win 8.1 laptop how do i load the mods to get it all working

i am modern pc challenged, i could figure out dos 2.1-6.3 but once 8 came in my knowledge went poof
