Coach Mode on Madden 15

For those of you interested in this style of play, you still have to set it to ON in the main menu and then load your profile in the CCM. I can't wait for sliders to possibly be developed for this style of play.

Is it a true coach mode like NCAA where the coach mode QB actually runs on his own (not just auto pass)? Also, what about kicking and punting? Does the cpu control that as well?

Haven't played a Madden game since '12. Hopefully M15 has true coach mode.

No, it's sad to say that the cpu is the only qb that will run on his own. I do not understand why Madden has never implemented this feature on the human side. Common sense would tell you that you would want a balanced game. Also, you still have to kick your own field goals, extra points, punting and kick offs.

What is wrong with Maddens logic.. Why the hell do they call this COACH mode if you have to control your players.. What coach runs out on the field and moves his players.. COACH is a coach. He stands on the side lines, sends in the plays and WATCHES it all develop.. Coach mode my ............ This is ridiculous.

While Madden 15 sounds really great this year and had me close to buying a PS4, their neglect of coach mode is a deal breaker for me. Oh well, maybe next year. I'll go back to my older versions of Madden and NFL2K5.

I totally agree. It really is silly. They just don't consider the coach mode group a necessity because they aren't driving the almighty dollar. I'm afraid to say, but I have a feeling within the next few years Madden won't even have a coach mode period.

What's even funnier yet I think, is that they said they brought over some guys from the NCAA game to work on Madden. Why didn't they say something about making it a true coach mode? Or maybe they did and the Madden guys blew them off, who knows, but same problems every year with Madden.

I had hoped for the same thing but for some reason
Madden continues to be a non inclusive game.
NCAA developers made a game with true coach mode and cpu vs cpu as well as 1 button mode for person with a disabilty can play it.
Madden developers have gone off the reservation since the exclusive deal with the NFL.

It's like the games are made by two different companies. In the end it doesn't matter what the guys at Madden do because the people keep going out and buying it, and then start complaining about how nothing has changed.

Yep. It's obvious they don't care what we have to say or they'd make corrections. As long as the cash flow continues, all is well in their lives.

I play coach mode and there are only 2 things that doesn't . The QB will only scramble "up to" the line, he does run around trying to escape and throw the ball away at times, and you have to do you own kicking (which is freaking easy and a 3 year old can do it.

Otherwise coach mode is GREAT!! No problems at all. You don't control your own players at all. They run, throw and do everything auto-magically and awesomely.

I can handle the QB not running, I can handle the kicking part, but what gets me is, it was always to easy to win. It always seems like you had a huge advantage on the AI team. I would get close games but my team always seemed to pull it out in the end. That's what turned me off to the coach mode in Madden.

my experience so far with coach mode

- first try delegating prep stopped working (setting was off) was delegating manually
- cpu puts chew clock on for you but doesnt tell you at play selection screen, you have to toggle it on then off again (annoying in preseason trying to get reps)
- IR designated to return doesnt work
- stuttering/hesitation at lots of screens in and out of game
- punting is difficult, i play with broadcast
- defence is difficult again as you arent behind it like next gen i believe
- audibling can be challenging, for example change a route, motion and choose protection can get you close to running out of time
- annoyingly they have taken my favourite defensive play out of the game, Nickel 3-3-5 3 Man under, i cant see a 3 man under in any playbook now
- the good news we dont have the play selection problem that xbox1 has the downside we dont have all the new stuff
- starting with sub $10m float means when season starts you cant resign anyone as you havent generated any surplus, god help you if you lose a few or have mainly away games before week 8
- Jim H generated 300 xps over the preseason !!!! coaches dont get exps from prep when an owner
- 3 players roughly per week can do prep, total farce i could understand 20 hours per player but 35 man hours for a roster of 53 is stupid
- playing on all pro, passing is ridiculous 75% completion rate even for numpties, catching the same for wrs with ovrs in the 60s
- zcv/mcv is better but still the qb will hit when they need to
- running the ball is difficult even with my sf running attack and my oline
tried by trading/fa the best 7 oline/fb blockers i could find against any defence and im lucky to get 3 yards a carry average over preseason even vs 2nd string
- passing attack both mine and their high completions, low dropped catches, nearly every one tip toe on sidelines ...

i cant seen how im supposed to develop talent, 3 players per prep on average can earn up to 1k exps or up to 15 confidence

meanwhile lots of players get -30 confidence for not knowing playbook etc, why they couldnt do the 2k5 route of weekly prep gets me

and the inaccurate official rosters with noone on IR makes it usless to start

what is really needed is a final 53 roster plus IR per team, the option to use that when you start ccm and you start after preseason so teams dont cut draft picks etc

If they cared, they would have listened when people asked for CPU vs. CPU back in Madden's CFM mode for the last three years along with customizing our own stats within the CFM mode. This week's sales report will be very telling. If sales are up from last year, I'm not sure that's good news for some of us who want our features back.

It doesn't matter what the sales report says. If it's up, if it's down, it makes know difference, because come next year people will flock to the store to buy the same piece of (you know what). It would have to be waaaaaaay down to get their attention, and that's not gonna happen.

In fact I just read that last year Madden 25 sold over a million less copies then Madden 13. That certainly wasn't enough to get their attention and get cpu vs cpu back in the game.
