User Control - Defense/How to control

Hey guys

I want to know what position you like to control on the defense, DL, LB, DB ...

I started playing madden last year and always control the DL, but after reading about it I'm willing to control Safetys and has been an adaptation difícil.Alguns say that this is how the "best players" do on defense.

What is the opinion of you, which position gives more advantages. also wanted some tips on how to make this transition, for example what I do to control the safetys correctly.

although i play in coach mode, im normally mlb 2 in 3-4, re in nickel and sub

i call line, lber, coverage audibles but dont play the player at all

It seems you get punished for usering a player on defense most of the time.

I like to control the D Line and lock that player I let the CPU do the rest just makes it more realistic

I play no switch defense. I control one player and that player only. I also use gameflow for playcalling.

Having some success running zone defense - choosing a LB in a zone and playhing him in his zone responsibility. I'm finding that the computer will throw to the open man, and if I can take away his first read and he runs through my zone the computer will hold on to the ball and it leads to a sack or forced bad throw.

If you have good stick skills there is no substitute for controlling a safety. More turnover opportunities, better rush coverage and overall a more lock down defense.

General rule of thumb: the better your stick, the farther away from the DLine you should play. If you aren't really that good, play the Dline. Intermediate? Okay stick? Play a MLB, etc.

Honor your coverage area and don't abandon it. Too many guys just start chasing a WR leave their zone and someone else is wide open as they enter it.

Varied based on the situation. I run probably 76% zone. But even I man I make sure in the safety in the deep blue zone.
