What happens when you either complete all challengers, or get stuck on a hard challenge and burn through all of your contracts? At that point are you forced to pay real money if you want to keep playing and earning new things? Sorry if I'm missing something, this is my first year with MUT and I'm getting a P2W vibe.

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
Yeah, it's pay to win. It's annoying, and once again I got suckered in because Career Mode is broken. Spent $50 bucks and got really nothing. An average team like around an 80, no expensive cards, just a waste of money. I think I will give all of my stuff to my son, I just wish it would be quick or easy and I would.Xbox One GT- II McG II -
Re: Is MUT pay2win?
Not necessarily. It just depends on your patience. You can use in game coins to get contract points, I believe. You can do the skills trainers outside of Ultimate Team to get some packs to replenish your roster.
I've never paid money for MUT outside of the .99 Gold Starter pack. It will take me longer to get to a 90 Overall team than someone paying money, but by the time I get there, my skills in game will be better than the guy who paid for his team.
I enjoy the challenge of building my team over time. My 9 year old son is progressing his team and has not spent a dime on it either. So it can be done without pay2win.
Currently my team is 73 rank after just a few days, my son has his team at 69 or 70. We can be competitive enough to continue winning some coins to upgrade.Comment

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
You can avoid spending real $ if you avoid trying to complete collections. Just build up a team and have fun, once you get sucked into the collections, forgeddabout it you'll be out a grand before the year is up. Trust me.Comment

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
You don't need to buy packs to win. It certainly goes an advantage, but you're perfectly able to craft an excellent team without paying a penny. It'll take longer, sure, but I think that extra development time is what makes it so satisfying once you have your ultimate team.Comment

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
I only bought a few packs with 10 dollars I had left in my PSN wallet, got nothing out of it. I've got my roster up to 77 through buying players off the auction and grinding solo challenges mainly.Comment

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
Nope
None of the UT's are
If you dont buy packs you just have to be smarter with your coins which is fun to me so I dont care about others buying packs with real moneyComment

Re: Is MUT pay2win?
MUT isn't pay to win, it's more like pay to have a 90+ rated team. Look at the Youtubers who play MUT, most of em have high rated teams but aren't that good. It seems people get more hyped about the players than actually being good at the game. I've found the Pro packs are a waste and every weekend there are some Legend/All Pro/Game Changer packs available. I spent money on the Game Changers pack and got an Elite Julio Jones and Eric Berry that I sold and bought bargain brand players from the auction house. My team is a 84 Zone defense overall. My best player is Drew Brees and I got a elite Pete Carroll.Comment
