MUT vs CPU a game changer

MUT squads vs CPU and solo battles just upped the enjoyment of the mode tremendously for me. Typically after about a month, the other user's team was far better than mine and only the very good players were still playing the mode. Game was lopsided and half the people would quit. The mode inadvertently ignored the average player that played more sparingly.

Now i can actually play the mode competitively for the whole year.

Can someone explain what types of games are available against the cpu? Are there seasons, full games or just challenges?

Also do stats from your players accumulate from game to game?

The new ones are

1. Solo battles - You vs someone's real MUT team but controlled by computer. Full game, 3 min quarters i think.

2. MUT Squads vs CPU - You and 2 friends vs CPU. Full game with 3 min quarters.

3. I think there is a MUT season vs CPU

Important to note that at least the 1st two allow you to pick the difficulty but it affects the coins received.

I love the idea, but in game is severely flawed imo. My team is an overall 84, and I chose to play the listed 75 overall team on Ultimate. Which means All Madden competitive mode.

Holy cow it's the worst! My 89 AB ran like 50 speed. My 87 Lesean Mccoy same thing.

My pretty highly rated, not great OL couldn't hold a run block. AI d line instantly shed blocks.

My 88 Khalil Mack, 87 Fletcher Cox, and 83 Demarcus Lawrence got ZERO qb pressure!

They still had zero run game and couldn't score however but still...

This is coming from a 75ovr team!? I think the mode is a great idea and fun, but the logic with how it tweaks difficulty for competitive mode is beyond dumb imo.

Now with that said! I played on the Semi pro one, I think it's Pro level competitive. That one was MUCH better for me offensively, but I still notice the nerfing of my players speed. Defensively I feel challenged if against a good team.

But overall, the choice of only arcade or competitive mode is upsetting to me. And the nerfing player speed to make it "competitive" really turns me off from this game mode. I feel since we are playing the AI we should be able to play on simulation game mode.

I get competitive for solo challenges, and playing versus a User controlled team. But with a full AI controlled team in a full game we should be able to play it like we can on cfm. Just my thoughts on the mode. If they add in simulation mode I'd play it non stop!

Yep the user team nerfing is absolutely ridiculous. Whats the point of getting a better team when your elite d-line can’t get a single shed against an o-line of silvers and golds? Whats the point of speedy LBs not being able to cover average TEs nor be able to catch pocket qbs when they roll out. Not to mention turning the ball over every single time the CPU gets a hit stick on you. Fun stuff EA 🙄

Played a few solo battles and so far I'm not really enjoying it. As others have said, the slow player speed and rating nerfing does not make for an enjoyable experience. I'll be sticking with solo challenges and season mode for now.

After enjoying this mode in FIFA last year I was excited to have it in Madden but as you guys have mentioned, due to the current mechanics it's just not fun right now. In FIFA, when you play with your stacked squad on the highest difficulty against a much lower rated squad, you will usually blow them out and this is how it should be here.

Having a ton of fun with these cpu challenges. Can't stand the garbage that occurs in user vs. user mut games so this has been a lot of fun

I went through and completed the 83 campaign missions. I have like 180k in coins and 150 training left after bumping a few power up cards to 81 etc.

Also got Vicks power up card and got him to an 81.

Can't wait to start on the journey missions.
