I love that developers are trying to get back into this niche.
The demand seems to be there and when one of them can develop a game mode that innovatively captures people's hearts, EA will have to finally step their game up. -

Gameplay looks leaps and bounds better than last years game. Plus you have the option of editing the teams to whatever you like now.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).

A couple things I really like about this game.
Chance to play a CFL season on PS4.
Could also make a league with completely fictional teams or even an XFL type league. For a game like this I like the idea of fictional so there will be no need to compare this and real NFL so you don't need to have the player model look like Tom Brady and the player doesn't have to put out realistic stats that Tom Brady should have.
We just need it to play good enough that it is challenging, fun, and not too glitchy.
Since Madden has missed an opportunity by not adding in some type of team builder customization this game has a chance to give people a way to play video game football that could be fun if the customization is decent.Comment

Hey guys, glad to see there is support for small game companies like Canuck Play. I've been interning here for a couple of months now and everyone is super nice.
as for Maximum Football 2018, it really is leaps and bounds better than the last game. I've only played the beta and it's already a lot better than last years game and its not even done! There's new game play mechanics that make the game more enjoyable. oh and its only 20 bucks!
One of the things our community is most excited about is customization teams, you can even change the city their from!Comment

Looks good. I purchased Canadian Football last year during a sale and it was quite a bit better than it initially looked. There were a number of updates and patches that expanded features and tightened up the gameplay, which is a great sign that for the new Maximum Football.
Only concern I have is that the deep ball is too easy to exploit vs the AI, which has been a problem going back to the original Maximum Football a decade ago. It is what made me ultimately stop playing last year. Actually, even one of the highlights from the new Maximum Football preview video shows a deep ball completion. If deep ball effectiveness can be toned down significantly (at least on the higher difficulty settings), it would really help with realism.Comment
