I think he'll automatically pass if you don't press anything after the snap. You may have to drop back manually instead (something which I'd never do in the 2K series, since I'd use the number of steps to sync with the timing of a play).

By design it seems. Lets me sort of play coach mode. Just wish I could do it from the broadcast view.

Yes this is correct. You need to drop back manually or move the joystick before the QB throws to take control.

Yes. If you want, you can just call the play and let the AI execute.

I have enjoyed the game. I've edited basically every single team to their real life counter part. I only did the rosters for Iowa but I will probably do some more just to get more immersed in the game. I've only played one full game and their were a ton of big plays. I was horrible passing like 5 for 25 it was ugly. I love the big hits and though they are rear they look really good.
