Older NHL games NHL 12 and post whistle rules

Does this post whistle rules change how the AI reacts after a whistle or just the penalty calls? I see a lot of peoples slider sets were set to RELAXED. I'm assuming this means players are more relaxed more likely to push and shove. I've never seen a pen called post whistle in NHL 12 with sliders on Authentic.

There's also Anything Goes too.

NHL 11 seems to have a lot of post whistle calls on all 3 settings.
