Looking forward to what they have in store and (hopefully) a partnership with MLB.

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
The thought of microtransactions makes me cringe..
But I'm hoping EA's finacial power will allow SMB4 to be able to give EVERYBODY what they want.
There are people who want MLB, there are people who want their fictional leagues.. I hope EA can accomidate everybody..Comment

I feel like they will not add MLB and such to it. Which is a mistake but it is what it is. You have EA and if they have a license use itMets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
I don't mind the MLB option for those who want it. But PLEASE keep the customizable teams and leagues. Lost many hours tailoring my custom league.
I'm not a baseball guy, but I played this game religiously
A draft/better free agency/roster control would be sweet.
Would love to see an online franchise WITH AI TEAMS!! I don't know 30 people to populate an entire league. But allowing others to take control of teams and play along would be awesome.

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
Imagine being on the pitching mound and a huuuuge guy walks up to the plate - Aaron Judge - uh oh... Or Vladdy Jr. with his dreads... and of course Shohei, who dominates on both sides of the ball.
They already have super customizable league options, so I think they would be able to fit in a few extra templates that include real MLB options.
But I don't think they should or will go exclusively MLB.Comment

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
If they go MLB though, it makes you wonder if they make every stadium. Would be a sweeter alternative to Power Pros, IMO.
Also wondering how they optimize to make use of current-gen power, and how it translates over to the PC version as well.
But one sorely missed aspect from every sports game (I haven't bought one since SMB3 actually) is how The Show had franchise carry-over saves. I wish I could take my SMB3 franchise into SMB4 if they still retained all of those assets. Sadly this is very much unlikely to be the case, and I wonder if sports games will ever have this really.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
I'm generally curious when they will start revealing info on this game. I know it might not be a MLB licensed game, but I assume EA will want Metalhead to release the game prior to the MLB season in just over a month. Haven't heard anything about a delay and nothing about the game in over a year.
I never played Super Mega Baseball and haven't played The Show probably since the PS3 days, but I want to give SMB if EA allowed Metalhead the creative freedom it had before.Comment

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
I can sense the the thought of bad news. This is approaching delay territory. There wasn't a locked release date and it's not a MLB licensed game. But, I imagined that EA wanted to get this out before the MLB season. Even if you extend out to April or May, I would expect to hear something by now.
This was in November, so possibly. But, haven't heard anything elseComment

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
SMB3 was released only about a month after it was announced, so maybe that will be the case with SMB4 as well, though that seems unlikely with the EA hype machine behind the game.

Re: SMB 4 Coming in Spring 2023
I just checked the release dates for both SMB 2 & 3. Both games were released in May. My thought now is whether they'll continue with that May release or whether EA would want to push the game closer to Opening Day. At this point, I doubt it'll be in March. So, I'm leaning towards May. So, I can see them revealing the game towards the middle of the monthComment
