And off we go! Ended up waiting for TacTix’s updated post trade deadline roster and making a few edits on it rather than starting my London franchise with old rosters. Actually really like the way the rosters work for the most part, recommend using them as a base and then tweaking them to your opinion’s desire. Unfortunately with these rosters I don’t think draft picks were included in the recent trades and I ended up losing my created team… but I decided to go a different direction creation wise. And thus the Sarnia Dirty Dogs were born. Ended up going with a smaller city to get a hometown feel for the team, and I ended up randomizing all of the CHL teams and landed on London again; OHL mapped the closest small-ish city, and here we are. Will definitely be hoping for some Sarnia Sting talent to be AI produced in later entry draft years! For the naming of Sarnia’s team ended up creating the team while laying on the couch with my pups, needing inspiration when it struck me. The Dirty Dogs! If anyone knows a way to share pictures I’ll see if I can figure out how to post em. We’ll head into the expansion draft soon! Looking to keep this ‘chise pretty realistic; trades shouldn’t be fleeced, RFA’s aren’t to be abused and I’ll probably end up passing on a bunch of higher value, better rated players in the expansion draft since the protection schemes are most likely going to be wonky. That being said, wild stuff does happen in the NHL and we’ll see what kind of storylines will emerge around the league when the EA sim engine EA’s. It’ll be interesting trying to stay realistic while also working with AI GMs; some interesting players are always available for the right price. There won’t be any hardcore details like NMC’s or partial NMC’s but guys won’t be getting dumped left and right. CPU Trades will be off for the first full year until the 2023 Draft, but I’ll allow myself to make a couple moves post expansion draft and possibly at the deadline if it’s one that makes sense. Trying to keep those rosters as close to possible for year one. And without further ado, here are your newest Dirty Dogs!
