For anyone interested, FHM10 is having a winter sale on both steam and their webstore. I prefer steam due to drag and drop options that some reason they can't figure out how to do on their own webstore.

Both versions are 33% off or $26.79. I'm actually really liking 10 compared to 8. I did not play/buy 9 as I normally buy sports games on a minimum of 2 year basis.

How does this game now compare to Eastside Hockey Manager (EHM)? Years ago, I just couldn't get into FHM because EHM felt much more polished and realistic to what I was expecting.

Honestly I can’t answer that question. I never got into EHM. And while I’ve always heard it’s really good it just looks too dated for me to get into personally. I’m really liking 10 after skipping 9.

FHM has almost caught up to EHM in terms of features I think. But the AI is still wack, so EHM should provide a better challenge. FHM has a leg up in terms of customization unless you know how to use the EHM database editor.

FHM has come a long way but it's not ready to succeed EHM yet. I think by FHM12 we'll see, based on what developers have announced in terms of a road map.

Yeah probably. But 15 years ago baseball was still way more popular than what hockey is today. Much bigger user base and sales for OOTP compared to FHM.

Yeah, FHM 11 or 12 could be a huge point for the series if they add a few more features and make things run a little bit less clunky.
