Pass rush is not a factor in this game. Even Top pass rushers have no effect on games. Opps wrong section

you won't know until you play it. I remember some of the usual suspects trying to say that 24 was just a cut and paste of 23 and it was not. 24 on xbox one was very much improved including a lot of the updates that the game received throughout the year. I am still playing Madden 24 until I purchase the new version on the 16th.

Penalties
There is a lot I can talk about but I'll focus on penalties. Played a game and I had 8 penalties for 90 something yards. I am actually impressed. Still would like to see a larger variety.

Bubble Screens
Only played two games but i'm wondering if EA decided they do not want bubble screens to work this year. WRs don't feel like blocking on those places.

Bruised Sternum
In the history of the NFL, has any player actually left a game because of a bruised sternum? However seems to be the #1 injury in madden

Special Teams
Needs a complete overhaul. I'm not talking about changing the kicking meter every three years. Speaking of which, I don't understand the new meter. I am playing at home and scored opening possession. On the PAT, the meter goes wobbly after I hit the button the first time. Why? There is no pressure o anything at that point.

David Carr has thrown for 5 TDs and 386 yards through 3 quarters against me on All-pro. Hasn't missed a throw and the receivers haven't dropped a pass all game.

you won't know until you play it. I remember some of the usual suspects trying to say that 24 was just a cut and paste of 23 and it was not. 24 on xbox one was very much improved including all of the updates that the game received throughout the year. I am still playing Madden 24 until I purchase the new version on the 16th.

That's true and right mentality but they don't have the new kickoff rules and no new presentation or even scorebug this year

Correct and they don't have some of the other new additions as well. I'm not saying it's the same game as current gen versions, but its not just a cut and paste.

Nope. It's a roster update from Madden 23. Anything added to franchise last year and this year are not in.

Definitely not just a cut and paste. It may not have all of the new features but its clear that there are improvements over last year.

Several things that I have noticed.




Positives:
Animations are improved.

CPU:


Seeing a good ratio of run/pass

Noticed more situational awareness

QB's are running when the opportunity presents itself, Lamar, Purdy, Allen and Jalen hurts have all given my Cowboys trouble running the ball forcing me to put a spy on them especially on third and short.


Utilizes tight ends very well.

Crowds are much more alive, crowd noise when a big stop is needed, after the home team scores a touchdown or when the defense makes a big stop is quite loud.

Afternoon to evening transitions are superb. One of the items that the old gen system nails with Madden is the lighting during the game inside and outside.

Negatives:
Team rankings are off. Houston 74? Tampa 92? Lions 79? and several others.


CPU QB's throw a lot of picks. I know the Cowboys defense is going to be awesome this year but geez.



From the issues I am reading and seeing with Madden on the current gen systems, I am happy to once again have another year on my xbox one. I would love to upgrade but I need Madden to be a lot better on current gen to make that happen.
