Relive Madden’s Greatest Eras with Retro Rosters – Now on Madden 25!

Back in Madden 20, I kicked off an ambitious retro roster project exclusively for PC players, offering a complete roster set from 1969 all the way to the present day. Now, with Madden 25, that project is making a comeback—this time with cross-platform support for all current-gen players!

What’s New for Madden 25?
The goal is to bring rosters from the 90s to the present, one era at a time. While we’re still ironing out the roster porting process, the plan is to start with modern seasons and work backwards, eventually bringing even more classic teams to life.

I’m mostly active in the Franchise Football Community (FFC) Discord server, where I help run things and work closely with my roster team. We’ll be sharing updates and files through Madden Share as well, so if you’re into retro football, this is the place to be! We’ve already got a few rosters up, and you can drop by either on the forum or in Discord to give feedback.

How You Can Get Involved?
While we don’t take specific requests, we’re always listening to the community. We run regular polls on Discord to decide which roster era we’ll tackle next, so your voice matters! Plus, once we get full modding support for PC, we plan to go all out—adding retro cyberfaces, uniforms, and even stadiums to truly immerse you in the past.

You don't even need to rate the players I just need all the players created and I'll do all the grunt work myself.

Anyway to up!pad a 90's file or early 2000's file for XBOX S

You don't even need to rate the players I just need all the players created and I'll do all the grunt work myself.

I don’t typically take requests but that era is an interest of mine and I know my rosters for that era are in rough shape. I’m pretty busy right now with the 2010-2020s but we might be able to collaborate on something.

I know a bunch of guys in our server have a decent 1994-1995 roster but it’s geared towards modding and they probably won’t upload that to the public for awhile.

I’ll talk it over with them and see what they want to do

So I guess I should mention part of my method/ backstory to all of this:

Big Al from NFL 2K5 had this Franchise generator and what I did was I made several excel converters for Madden 20 and I generated every roster from 1969 to current with his tool and turned them into Madden 20 rosters. Any Madden 08 roster that I could pull off of Footballidiots.com I did as well. The endgame was being up a inventory of historic rosters.

So I have every roster set to Madden 20's roster format which allows me to use Madden Amp which is a Roster Editor back in the day for that game.

This offer goes to anyone but I can pass along that tool if you don't have it already + the 90s rosters and I can port them over when you are done and give credit to whomever of course. My preference is just getting the copy of the roster back in the madden 20 format so I can achieve it and hopefully can just continue on porting to future Maddens.

The problem with Madden 25 is it will be a pita for me to backport with the encryptions and all that. I'm sure I could do it but it will most likely cost me losing the player visuals like equipment edits and all of that . If the first option is a deal breaker, I can probably work with backporting the roster worst case but it will take me a bit to port these 90s rosters over since our server has these newer rosters in high demand.

If anyone is interested though, I am cool with continuing the discussion in here, dms , or in our discord server.

I know Playmakers has been around for years since I remember you back in the day when I was active around 2010 lol. Not sure if you remember "Cursive" from around that time but he is actually the one running the discord server linked above.

I guess I should also mention we are working on retro draft classes as well to work with the retro rosters. I have a method (Credit to WiiMaster and Sinthros who are also members in that discord server) which allows me to take these rosters and pull the rookies and port them over to a draft class to use for Madden 25 as well.

I'm not a technical computer guy unfortunately so I wouldn't know how to use these programs lol

I do recall cursive rosters on the older systems though

I'm sure this process is difficult on the newer consoles especially since the rosters were created for madden 20.

So if you somehow find away to port any old 90's rosters to Xbox S with all of the players as I stated in another thread as well if it messes up equipment and ratings not a big deal to me because I can fix those things myself.

My biggest issue is I just don't have the time these days anymore to create historic rosters all by myself like in years past.

Which is why any file that your able to port over would be a blessing and much appreciated by not only me but I'm sure the entire community as well because it's a painful process to redo these rosters from scratch again

I once use an madden roster editor on xbox 360 I wanna say the original madden 25. Somewhere on my PC I still have face IDS and photo IDS if this would help with these type roster on your end as far as faces and photos go?

Some unfortunate news, for whatever reason, I am having account issues so I might be down for a bit with porting rosters. The Madden 12 roster file I can pass off to Wii to handle . If I do get the issue resolved, I will probably avoid Madden Share going forward so no cross platform rosters from me though I can still ask others in my server to upload them on my behalf

It's a little more far back which I like for classic rosters because of those players aren't still in current madden.

I might take the file and turn it into all decade roster covering 2000-2010 era
