Edited Accessories
Multiple Google and Getty Images of every player were looked at and the accessories they wore most were assigned. Players accurately resemble their appearance from the 1997-98 season.

Multiple Google and Getty Images of every player were looked at and the shoes they wore most were assigned. In the 1997-98 season, most teams wore white shoes for home and away games with a few exceptions--that is reflected in this roster.

If you want to start this roster in the playoffs, teams that switched from white to black shoes in the postseason (ex: Chicago Bulls) all have players wearing a white shoe that has a matching black/white counterpart (Dennis Rodman is an exception); this gives you a quick and easy switch between the white and black versions of a shoe.

All 582 head models for head coaches were cycled through to give each his closest lookalike, with no head coach having the same head model.

I wanted to say a big Thank you for all the work that has gone into this file. Pete, you have breathed new life into this game with your play now rosters and the detail, man you know your stuff.

Even down to Grant Hill in his Fila shoes, small things like that really make the difference. To have accurate courts and jerseys just adds to the depth and makes it easy for people like me who don't have much time to enjoy the game.

You also saved me a bunch of money as I was thinking of getting a gaming PC just so I could relive these era's authentically. But with time I get to play I just can't justify it (or really afford it) I'm over in the U.K, and didn't get to see much NBA back then.

You deserve a bigger platform, more power to you and thanks again.

I see that this is a play now roster but in saying that - has this roster been tested at all in MyNBA franchise?

Before final release the Spurs and Raptors will need to be updated. That was my fault as I put an extra space in both teams file names for the arenas so they are currently black courts right now in this version and will be fixed in the final release. So sorry for missing those.

Regarding MYNBA, I loaded it in just fine when testing but did not run multiple seasons.

Should be 19 after this weekend. The first 10 will hopefully be uploaded as a WIP in a few days.
It takes a while because it is truly an attention to detail roster, and I look at multiple pictures of every player to apply the shoes and accessories each wore the most (ie the rubber band Charles Barkley wore that season). You won’t be disappointed.
