Welcome to my Third WWE Universe.


I am going to keep the introduction short.

Yes, I know 2k25 is on the horizon...

I made a second attempt at this a while ago and got a few months in with 2k22. I enjoyed the storylines and was intending to continue that. I even made a vain effort to advance time and make a universe in 2k24 that extended from 2k22. It was a failed effort and never even made it to print. I was trying to get everything to mesh into what was happening at the start of 2k24 and that made it all feel very convoluted and nothing of my own creation, so I have decided to start fresh and move forward with 2k24 after getting it on PS plus and buying a few of the DLC.

I tried to have RAW, SmackDown, and a women’s only show in the past. I actually made 3 attempts to do it this way. But I ran into a bit of a conundrum on my last attempt. How to introduce new talent and how to not have so many weak matches. I previously adopted the philosophy that matches can sometimes be just matches. But with that philosophy, I had a large amount of unneeded matches because the talent was spread a bit too thin. Returning to the original format will let me develop new talent and maximize existing talent, as well as keep my dynasty engaging.



Settings:


Game: WWE 2k24

System: PS5

Difficulty: Normal to start. We will see how it goes but most of the matches will be CPU vs. CPU to keep results random and interesting.

Shows: There will be 3 shows, RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. NXT will be used to introduce new talent and promotions/relegations will be occurring throughout.

Rosters: I am using the 2k24 rosters with a few added creations from others to start. I will likely be adding a new wrestler or two per month to NXT to keep the rosters fresh.

I have automatic rivalries turned on to see what may develop from random matches. I have split tag teams set to off as I want to decide that sort of thing randomly.

I will be using chatGPT for some of the dialogue to help with storytelling.

I will also be posting as I progress as opposed to trying to keep a set schedule of posting. I have a tendency to get ahead of where I am in dynasties and the reporting being well behind where I currently am. I am aiming to rectify that here.

Seth Rollins, the Architect, the Visionary—he’s held that championship long enough! I respect his talent, but this is about more than respect. This is about proving that I am the best! The King of Strong Style deserves a shot at that title!

So, Mick, I’m asking you—no, I’m telling you—grant me a championship opportunity against Seth Rollins! Let me show the world what happens when the King faces the Visionary.

The roar of the crowd, the thrill of the fight—it’s time for me to reclaim my destiny! So make it happen, Mick. Give me what I deserve. Let me bring the excitement, the passion, and the glory to this ring!

[He pauses, letting the anticipation build.]

[The crowd erupts as Nakamura lowers the microphone, a fierce determination in his eyes.]

“Hey, NXT Universe! It’s your girl, Roxanne Perez, the reigning NXT Women’s Champion! And let me just say, holding this championship means the world to me. But with this title comes a responsibility—a responsibility to keep pushing the limits and proving why I’m the best in this division.

So, I’m issuing an open challenge weekly. The best woman at the end of the month will get a chance to challenge for my title at NXT Battlegrounds! That’s right! Any woman in the back who thinks she’s ready to step up and face me in this ring, I want you to come out here and challenge me.

I didn’t become champion by backing down from a fight, and I won’t start now. I want to showcase the incredible talent we have in NXT, and I want to prove that this championship is on the line every time I step into this ring!

I appreciate that. I mostly watched through the late 90s and early 2000s and my favorites are all from that era. I like doing the modern era of wrestling because while I know some about, I certainly have less knowledge. If I played the Attitude Era, I would make Stone Cold the champion and he would never lose it.

Mick Foley: Shinsuke, I’ve been watching you—your incredible performances, your style, your presence. You’ve made it clear that you want the WWE Heavyweight Championship, and who could blame you? But before you get that opportunity, there’s something you need to do.

Shinsuke Nakamura: [Smiling, tilting his head] Hmmm... What do I need to do, Mick?

Mick Foley: [Pauses for a moment, leaning into the microphone] You’re one of the best in the world, Shinsuke, but I want to make sure you're truly ready for the top. So, here’s the deal. You will face an opponent of my choosing later tonight, and you MUST win. Only then will you get your chance at becoming the number 1 contender for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura: For a chance to become the number 1 contender? [Laughs softly, raising his eyebrows] I see. Opponent of your choosing, huh?

Mick Foley: That’s right. But don’t worry, it won’t be a walk in the park. You’ve got to prove that you deserve it, and if you do, all the better for you.
