In what could be the last ever 1 night Royal Rumble, any picks for this one?

Last year we had 4 matches, 5 the year before that. Given we have SNME the week before the rumble, most matches they were likely planning for this event will probably just happen at SNME.

Both rumbles will take up about 1 hour and 10 minutes, add in another 30 or so for the ladder match and that's a 3 hour show (3.5 once you factor in ads and other stuff). So at most I see 1 other match on this card and that's it.

As for my rumble picks, I'm going for a dark horse pick. Orton returns and wins the men's rumble. It leads to the debate of who to choose since he has history with Gunther and Cody (ultimately he chooses Cody to face). Rumble F2 being Cena and Orton.

Women's rumble, assuming Rhea and Tiffany are champs going into WM, I see Tiffany vs Charlotte which does make me think Charlotte wins it even though she obviously doesn't need to in order to get a title shot. Women's F2 being Charlotte and Becky.

Just realized this event is happening at 6pm ET.

It's definitely going to be a 4 hour show in this case.

Bianca invited Caitlin Clark to the rumble.

Doubt she actually shows up during the match, even for a "Drew Carey appearance", but I could see them/Netflix getting her in the crowd.

Who do people think will be 1-2 in the rumble?

Some years it early feels random/meaningless and other years its important.

Recent Womens first 2:
Natalya and Naomi (Naomi was a return from TNA)
Rhea and Liv (before their eventual feud)
Sasha and Melina (Melina obviously being the surprise return)

Recent Mens first 2:
Jimmy and Jey
Gunther and Sheamus
AJ and Nakamura

My real random guess this year is Lyra/Chelsea (IC vs US champ?) and Penta/Mysterio

I guess it's technically not against the rule either? We've seen people refuse to enter/take their time and someone enters after them.

Just off the top of my head Nunzio in 2004 and Boss Man in 2000 did not enter the ring before the next number entered.

Definitely not against the rules as long as you come into the arena.

Take a page from AEW, Jey makes his entrance but his music keeps playing and he just stays in the crowd Yeeting while the match is happening until someone(Drew McIntyre most likely) starts attacking him and the music finally stops.

HHH teasing Haliburton appearing in the rumble which would be one of the crazier guest surprises in rumble history simply for the fact that he's literally playing a game that starts an hour before the rumble begins.

Assuming the Pacers game wraps up before 8pm ET and he finishes his media and anything else as soon as he can, he probably has a shot to literally enter the rumble the second he pulls up to the stadium.

From what I see, it's only a 4 minute drive from the arena to the stadium so very possible but given the Rumble PLE starts at 6PM, one hour after the game begins it will be close. Considering the WNBA is in the offseason... does Caitlyn Clark show up in the Women's Rumble?
