Welcome to the Colorado Rockies Dynasty.


Background


To me, baseball is not just told in the stories of the day to day, but also the year to year. I have a book that follows the history of the Indians year by year from 1899 to 2007. I am drawing inspiration from that. I enjoy the day to day stories, which this book has, but also the bigger picture of the year to year. That, to me, is where many more stories happen.

I am not a rebuild the team in year 1, make the playoffs in year 2, and win the World Series in year 3 kind of story teller and team builder. That is not fun to me. And honestly, it is a bit to easy to do. There is no challenge and fun in that.

I want to have the day to day impacts but also make significant progress on the field. So, I will be quick managing the games in this dynasty. I may jump in from time to time, but this will primarily be played by quick manage.



Settings:

Difficulty: All-Star
Sliders: A few slight modifications on my part.
Rosters: First live roster update with some edits.
Gamestyle: Quick Manage
Team Control: For the first time ever, I am doing 30 team control. Currently everything is set to auto, except trades, but I will jump in when necessary.



Updates:

Most updates will cover 1 week ranging from Monday to Sunday so the weekend series are not split up in coverage. It will also depend on the schedule some as well. This dynasty will focus more on the Rockies as opposed to the whole league, though there may be bits of information about other teams as we go along depending on multiple things.

Roster Analysis:

We have a few solid young players in our lineup who we can build around with the most notable being SS Ezequiel Tovar. We also have a good amount of players who are not part of our long term plans. Then we have Kris Bryant. He will be given the chance to be the DH with some time at 1B and the OF this season to see if his career can be salvaged. At this point, the contract is not tradeable so we have to see what we can get out of him. As far as pitching, we are definitely not in a very good position. For us to have any success in 2025, multiple pitchers need to play higher than their ratings.
