Earl Weaver Baseball for PC (1987) 2008 season is ready

This time I included two versions. One with default and another with high default defensive RANGE and ARM ratings for more realistic stats outcome.

I tested it quiet thoroughly, the statistic outcome is surprisingly good for the 2008 season with arm and range ratings in the 7,8 and 9 range.

You can download the 2008 EWB 1.5 season files (also easily convertible to Amiga and EWB 2, too) here - click on 'Season only'.

Of course you again can use my seasontool to draft your own players. It is a bigger download this time because it already contains the lahman database with the 2008 data and the player files.

as someone who did historical rosters for hh2k3, i say congrats. it takes a lot of hard work to keep older games fresh.

Even myself, I don't play it regularly anymore. But I thought for the masses out there, there maybe someone who need it. I programmed it in [Q]Basic years ago and it still works without too much work.

For the modern handheld users out there, this game can be played on a pocket pc! I use pocketdos, and I start it with the "v" parameter and it runs in colored 320x200 "vga" modus (back in those times it wasn't called QVGA)!

The game must be available on the internet or abandonware sites, look for ewb pc and you should find it. It was way ahead of anything sports simulation related at that time and you can still import stats from 2008 in a 1987 DOS game with a reasonable stats outcome, which not many of today's games have.
