PES online beta... but it's not public : (

What up Guys. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Seems like Konami will be releasing a new demo this Thursday 10/8/09 that will allow you to play online. All Credit goes to those guys on WENB for this. Here is the German site that broke the news, i translated it but if you want to see it for yourself here is the link.

In 1-vs.-1-or 2-vs.-2-match players had to contend with some huge lags and delays. Konami will be using the new PES 2010 online demo an insight into online entertainment. We hope for smoother flow of play in this PES-season. The demonstration appears likely in the PlayStation Network for PS3."


It does mention at the bottom that they may also release it for the PS3 but nothing concrete. It seems that Konami want to test the new Online Capabilities before the game comes out and get feedback.

Sorry guys, new update came out saying that it will be a closed beta testing. So the general public will not be able to participate.

I have more info on this.

It is a closed beta that will not be available to the general public, however I will be getting some access for certain Fan and Rankings users to be involved. I cannot say much more than that at this time as I don't actually have much more information. I won't be the one choosing who those users might be so we will just have to wait and see. So for now I guess its unlikely to affect the majority of you but at least you can be aware that this testing is happening to make sure everything is working as it should be."

Agreed. It'd be awesome to get hands-on with it, but if it helps them sort out problems prior to release, I'm all for it. The sub-par online play in 2009 was a real disappointment.

I'll keep the thread open but change the title...
