What's up guys?!!! I've been checking out the forums here for some time now and decided to go ahead and register since viewing all the cool pics and info Steve has provided on NCAA 2003. I'm taking time off from classes tomorrow just so I can pick up my copy and spend quality time playing it. Anywho, thanx for having me and I'm looking forward to exchanging gametips and the like with you guys.

From a rookie to a rookie: welcome aboard.
This board should be good and from what I've seen and read, it's living up to expectations.
Anyhoo.... Seminole fan, eh? Hmmn.... *remembers 1993 FSU team*... I still cant believe the Irish finished 2nd in the polls when ND beat FSU... ha... nmComment

What hurt the Golden Domers that year was the loss to B.C. following the win over FSU. Man, I remember that ND/FSU game!!! ND was the only team able to contain Charlie Ward that year. I read somewhere that the 93 FSU/ND clash is still one of the most highly watched college telecasts in tv history.
BTW...will definitely you up to date on the dynasty FSU4LIFEComment

Re: New member, patiently waiting for NCAA 2003
ouch... dont remind me. That BC/ND game was a disappointment.... I mean, the national championship was in the bag and ND blew it! I dont even remember the final score to that BC game but I do remember sitting there... quiet...
but yeah, that ND/FSU game was and is definitely a classic... good stuff... I wonder what Ward would've done in the NFL if he had chosen to enter the draft....Comment

Re: New member, patiently waiting for NCAA 2003
BC won it on a last second field goal. OUCH!!!The worst kind of loss!!
I think that the type of player C. ward was at that time did not fit the NFL...but his style would make him a first rounder in this day and age.Comment

Re: New member, patiently waiting for NCAA 2003
Hey DoomsDay, me and my boy was at that game and we had to sit in the ND section. I live in the Chi and ND is about an 1-1 1/2 drive from me. We went there and bought some student tickets from this guy who was married to another ND student. We payed $150 for each ticket but the kicker was we had to have a ND ID to get into the game. Thing is, dude sold us tickets for a married student, which he was, so that meant we had to come up with a wife who was a student at ND. As luck would have it, I see a guy I went to grammar school with and asked him if I could borrow his girlfriend to get me in the game. She does it, I get in and the damn Noles lose the game. I get back to my car and the ND fans tore the Noles flags off of my car but for the most part the ND fans were cool.
Long story short, that was the longest drive bacl to Chicago ever. But it was all good as me and my boy went to the Orange Bowl and saw the Noles win their 1st NC.Comment

Re: New member, patiently waiting for NCAA 2003
I don't remember the exact score, but I remember praying to dear God himself for that kick to go through. Remember Matt Frier the little WR begging the pollsters to give us one more shot at it? And what kills me as a Nole fan, when we played Nebraska for the national title, we ALMOST LOST THAT ONE as well!!! Remember, the kicker kicked it through and we thought we had won, but a penalty was called on us and we had to rekick? All I could think about was another Miami wide right. Fortunately it went in and the rest is Seminole lore. I can't wait til we get our hands on the Cyclones in a month.Comment
