Looking forward to the main event and the rest of the main card should be good except for Elias.

why not Elias just out of curiosity. He came into my office and couldn't be a nicer guy and i also randomly bumped into him on a plane to LA. To be fair I haven't seen him fight other than 1 time and his highlights look fairly exciting...

Personally he does seem like a good guy. Fighter though he is boring, fans are usually booing throughout most of the fights not in Canada.

He has close to 10 straight decisions.

fair enough lol, well hopefully he can turn that around and actually many have - look at decision dan henderson or lyoto machida, they did 180s, sometimes it just takes time - almost like the opposite of boxing where you KO guys until the apex competition and no longer get ko's and in MMA, you often get crazy championship fights because the margin of error can be so small and the 5 rounds changes things sometimes too.

It's the finish or nothing for Brunson imo and it's probably going to be hard to land.. but Brunson is unorthodox himself sometimes. Elias by decision seems most likely if he can avoid Brunson for 3 rounds while potshotting. But I am going with Brunson by TKO.

Elias is really evasive. He doesn't even threaten much with counters. He seems to focus on avoiding hits and has unorthodox timing. He hasn't been finished as a result, only decision losses to Thiago Santos and Brad Tavares.

Brunson is actually the slight underdog.

              Cerrone won

              Al Iaquinta (-115|$1.8x|5/10) > Donald Cerrone (+105|$2x|5/10)

              SL/m: 4.30 > 4.20
              S Acc: 41% < 48%
              SSA/m: 4.05 < 4.06
              SD: 62% > 54%
              TD Avg: 0.81 < 1.29
              TD Acc: 22% < 35%
              TDD: 73% > 72%
              SUB Avg: 0.3 < 1.4

W: Wrestleboxing, slip, body shot, overhand, clinch, feint; Mix, knee, high kick, TD, jab, low kick, sub, dynamic
              x
L: Sub, range, TD, timing; Pressure, body, boxing, mean

Last week the ESPN main event finish streak ended. This fight could end up as FOTN tho. Iaquinta is a marginal favorite, this fight really is 50/50. I think Iaquinta deserves the line, Cerrone's has a finisher's chance imo- probably by sub. That said, Cerrone has done well against most wrestleboxers, especially those that primarily strike like Iaquinta. I want Cerrone to win, however he has issues with pressure and good boxers like Iaquinta and has been inconsistent lately. So I think Iaquinta wins this by decision.

              Prediction: Al Iaquinta by DEC
              ⭑⭑⭑
              Result: Cerrone by DEC (49-45)

Man everytime I think Cowboy is gonna take the L, he surprises me. I didn't expect him to beat Al, but again Cowboy showing that he's still got it. Gonna be interesting to see if he can ever get a shot at the title or get that fight with Conor. I can easily see them doing a fight between he and Conor where winner gets a title shot tbh.

Al is not fast enough, he's too slow to close the distance when kicks are involved. Cowboy did what I expected and picked him apart from the outside.

Elias was boring as usual. I'm surprised they continue to use him, they have plenty of Canadian fighters to cut him loose. I guess he gives everyone a 20 minute break or so.

I've watched every fight that he's had in the organization and I've never once been impressed by Theodorou. His movement is awkward and he's never really seemed especially talented to me. I don't say that to **** on the guy, but his style and manner which in he wins fights never really aligned with the amount of support that I've seen for him on social media. I figured Brunson was gonna do something wild to lose the fight against him, but he didn't. Good job.
