    Arma Reforger

Is out today. I haven't seen much about it, but this is the first tangible step towards Arma 4. Figured some here would be interested in this.

This game looks too good and its getting rave reviews. Want to purchase but I'm debating on the XBox version instead of the PS5 version because of mod availability...Has anyone on XBox experiencing crashes or problems with using mods? Feedback welcomed.

Have not had any crashes using mods on the series x . I only like playing solo for now because I am just learning the game . Have used a few mods geared towards playing conflict in single player . Game does not have a true single player mode though . I love the way the game plays but it is very difficult to play solo

Did a little deep dive into this more. One thing for sure, the Arma series is considered if not the best, a highly-acclaimed military sim since its inception, but it was always experienced on pc. Didn't realize that when Arma Reforger was announced on consoles (XBox) and PC, it came with a new engine, the Enfusion Engine, bringing additional functionality, and a more immersive in-game environments to the Arma sim.

Those interested in Arma Reforger's Roadmap and what future updates are coming!

Prague, November 16th, 2023 – Developers from Bohemia Interactive are proud to announce that the
latest installment in the critically acclaimed Arma series, Arma Reforger, is leaving the Steam Early Access
and Xbox Game Preview programs today. With the release of 1.0, players on both PC and Xbox consoles
can experience Arma Reforger's multiplayer, cross-platform, PvPvE combat with the crucial addition of
helicopters and a brand-new supply system. Version 1.0 means that the core gameplay functionality
of Arma Reforger is now live, but there's more to come,

After reading more of this, not sure when but I definitely want it. I'm neck deep in games still to play. It's also considered to have an extensive learning-curve, so you'll need to devote time into it. Looking at 2025, I can only laugh knowing the number of games on my Wishlist, and still playing. It does put "Enlisted" and "Hell Let Loose" off my want to play. I'm also still debating the Xbox/PS5 purchase. With Xbox you get mods. With the PS5 you get Pro support as well as the DualSense Controller Features and Haptic Feedback

                Re: Arma Reforger

I considered getting it since it has a PS5 version but from what I understand Sony is still being stubborn when it comes to mods in games.

I think this was an issue with Fallout 4 too but that kind of soured me. I would like to play some of the custom mods I've seen on YouTube.

Note: I did see Delta Force is coming to console one day so that is a +.

The FPS scene hasn't been for me since Battlefield 2042 bombed. I hope that new one I keep seeing leaks for is good.

Anyways back to the topic: I was always intrigued by Arma. I bought it for PC but not really a MNK guy. You almost need it though because of all the controls in the games. I would just rather play games with a controller.

If your PC can run Reforger you can always play it with a controller.
