    Wii MLB 2k12 Roster Updates

    Hey Operation Sports users,

I've been a diehard fan of the MLB 2k series for wii, for a while now. I realize that most of you are probably more of the Xbox gamers, but I think that there are some of you who might still play wii from time to time. I am looking to create rosters for the 2016 season for the wii. What this will mean: We will simply update the teams for the upcoming 2017 season, but these might be subject to change due to draftees. We will NOT be doing any updating of the minor league (except for possibly some of the really big stars), and of course, free agency might be a bit of a mess (damn you 2k for downgrading your wii games). Our method will be simple, but stupid (Damn you nintendo for not creating a file import system like Microsoft!). We will each sign up for a team that we would like to update. Then we will update the team by creating players in game, then adding them to their selected team, and then deleting retired players in the edit roster feature. If a player is still active, then you can then select "edit player" and then change his ratings. Once you have successfully completed your team you are to do the following:

Starting from the beginning: Go to Wii settings, choose data management, and copy your MLB 2k12 file from your Wii to an SD card by selecting it and choosing copy. Next, open your SD card in windows using a card reader. Open the folder labeled "private", then the folder labeled "wii", then the folder labeled "title". This folder will contain in separate folders all of the saved game data for each different game that you copied on the wii. From here, copy the folder named RNAE to your computer's desktop - this is the save file for MLB 2k12.

Next, zip this folder (windows xp) by right clicking on it > send to > compressed (zip) folder. Now, this zip file can be posted to operationsports.com in the "reply to thread" box that appears when you reply to a post on this forum. Click the paperclip - browse for your zip file and then click upload. That should be it!

For those that want to put the save file on their Wii - unzip the file and copy the RNAE folder to a Wii SD card in the "title" folder described above (make sure you follow the same folder structure). Put this file in your Wii, and copy it over to your Wii system memory. NOTE: Doing so will require to erase your previous save file - so do so with the knowledge that you will lose all your other game save information including dynasty, rosters, custom settings, etc. (yes this is why the Wii sucks).

The operation sports community did something similar with the NCAA 09 wii roster update. Here is a link to how they did it:

We will FAIR JUDGEMENT, which means Bartolo Colon (our lord and savior), will not be a 99 overall Harambe-like legend. If you would like to sign up for a team, please do so by either posting a comment in the operation Sports thread and/or EMAILING ME at [email protected]. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN OPERATION SPORTS ACCOUNT, PLEASE GET ONE NOW BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE ALL ROSTER FILES SHOULD BE POSTED!!!! I will start us off by creating the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox. Here is a list of teams still needed (quote this message and add your name next to the one you want to do, once someone has taken a team, it is thiers!):
