25 seems to be fairly realistic while simming. Heard there might be a bug where pitches go down too often while actually playing games despite whatever the injury slider is.

    Try 25.

I have mine set at 53. I just lost Hanson to the 15 day DL after he took a pitch off his hand last night in a ST game. I have had some other injuries but not to only my pitchers.........Uggla and Jones but neither have been severe injuries worthy of being put on the DL.

I have mine set at 10 and I am still seeing some injuries, 25 I had too many. Right now I feel like this gives more of a realistic amounts, you still have the little nagging injuries but workhorse pitchers who are good for 200 innings a year aren't going down every game like they were before.

              Yes.

I also think my suggestion of 25 is too high given the bugs plaguing injuries. I'm going to go with 10 injury setting and once MK's opening day rosters come out I'll start my franchise.

where do you find the injury slider?

NVM: found it, at the franchise setup screen

I have mine at 10 and it seems pretty realistic.

I have mine at 1 but that is because I have not been simming games. I have found that the slider only seems to apply itself to simmed games. In user played games there seems to be no effect or sensitivity to the slider.

Meaning...with it set at 1 I just saw Hiroki Kuroda go down the other night with a herniated disc, and had Ryan Doumit fracture an ankle.

Kuroda only needs the 15 day DL, but Doumit is out 4-6 weeks.

Also - I seem to be finding that more often your players are injured, and require a DL stint moreso than just acquiring a minor/playable injury. To put it into context, I have had alvarez, tabata, resop, gallagher, correia, mcdonald, doumit, valdez, and hanrahan all have to see the DL. Only twice have I had players receive injuries they can play through - that being lyle overbay who is currently playing through injury and kevin correia who prior to going on the DL had a playable neck injury.

                      Re: injury slider??

I playing a franchise where I control all the team and play any game on the schedule. What I plan on doing is turning injuries off for the games I play and turning it back on when simming games. Also the fatigue bug doesn't bother me because I am simming alot of the league games I don't play.

A little of both some straight simming, some when I jump in out of the game, and some straight playing.

I've got mine at 5 and it seems pretty good there. I do agree that there are too many injuries that require the DL. I'd like to see more 1-3 day nagging injuries where you have realistic choices of resting a player or having him play through it. Of course it would be more fun if fatigue actually worked.

Still have no idea how injuries and fatigue could be so screwed up - how did this get by the people making, playing and testing the game? It's so obvious if you just play more than one franchise game.

Well 50 is definitely too high.. i started a rockies chise, and in the 4th inning of game 1 jimenez ruptures his UCL and is out for 80 days, game 2 de la rosa herniates a disc in his back out for 120 days, game 3 cook blows out his elbow and out for 100 days... so since i play EVERY game im wondering where i should put the injury slider

oh yeah, cook's and De La Rosa's injuries both happened in the 4th inning as well
